For those who don't know... every Wednesday during term time we host a FREE toddler club from 9.30am to 11.15am!

We have lots of toys to play with, good conversations to be had, and plenty of snacks... We finish off our session each week with a lively, interactive praise time with a Bible story, songs and dancing, and crafts!

Last Sunday we celebrated God's abundance by building a cairn of gratitude—each stone representing something we thank God for in the life of St Thomas's with St Stephen's.

Here, Charlotte adds her stone, giving thanks for the people, relationships, ministries and moments of grace that enrich our community.

Are you concerned about the climate crisis? Tomorrow evening we'll be showing the People's Emergency Briefing, a short film presented by Chris Packham, which discusses the frank facts but also the possible solutions. There will be a facilitated discussion afterwards.

And Breathe…

A new weekly space for prayer, stillness and reflection beginning Wednesday 17th June, 6:30–7:15pm in the Chapel at St Thomas’s, Telford Ave, Balham. SW2 4XW.

Sometimes life moves at such a hectic pace that we rarely pause long enough to attend to ourselves, to God, or to one another. Christian meditation is a long-standing practice of prayer and contemplation — making space simply to be present to God.

Each week will include scripture, poetry, art, music, silence and guided meditation. No experience needed. Open to all, whether you have a strong faith, a questioning faith, or none at all.

What a joyful Pentecost celebration at STWSS today! 🎈🔥🕊️

As we received our balloons, we were reminded that God fills us with his Holy Spirit—not just for ourselves, but so that we can go out and share his love with the world.

May the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control—be seen in us this week.

Come along on Sunday 7th June from 2pm-4pm to discover what nature and critters might be hiding in our church grounds and community garden!

We are hosting a Caring For God's Nature event to count the wildlife that we have present in our community garden and we would love to have you join us!

What kind of future are we building together?

On Friday 5th June at 7.30pm, at St Thomas with St Stephen’s, we’re hosting a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing — a powerful and accessible film bringing together leading voices on the climate and nature crisis, and the practical hope that can be found through collective action.

This isn’t about doom or guilt. It’s about understanding what’s happening, why it matters, and how communities like ours can respond with courage, compassion and imagination.

After the screening there’ll be space for conversation, reflection and sharing ideas together.

Please come along — and invite someone else too. A friend, neighbour, colleague, family member, or someone who cares about the future but perhaps doesn’t know where to begin. If each of us invited one person, we could create a really meaningful evening of learning, connection and hope.
