As our nation is coming to terms with the loss of our Queen, and the loss of a ‘constant’ in many of our lives, what will be our constant now?
The PM Liz Truss said that the Queen was “the rock on which modern Britain was built”. But what will Britain do now it has lost its rock? Where shall we find our permanence, security and stability?
In her Christmas speeches the Queen often pointed us to Christ who she said was her ‘rock’ or constant.
As we mourn the loss of a constant in our lies and feel our need for something stable upon which to build our lives, could it be that the living God is calling the people of Britain to turn back to the foundations that first made it great: Christianity and Christ Himself?
