Good morning everyone, today is Good Friday when we remember Jesus' trial before Pilate, his suffering at the hands of the Romans, his abandonment by his friends (the men at least) and his death on the Cross.

We call it Good Friday because we know the end of the story, because death and injustice and evil did not win that day. Rather Jesus' death accomplished our salvation and his Resurrection proves God's love.

Our services today are:
- 11am, Journey to the Cross at St Luke's - an interactive multisensory journey through the events of Holy Week, suitable for adults and children

- 2:30pm, An Hour at the Cross at St Mark's - a simple reflective service reminding us of Jesus' sacrifice.

Parent Village is back 👏

Our upcoming 4 week parenting for wellbeing group provides space for parents to breathe and explore the harder bits of parenting and family life, together in community.

Each week we look at topics such as:

- self care and self compassion
- acknowledging feelings
- understanding our children's behaviours
- parenting styles and family routines

The group will take place at St Luke's church Northover BR1.
10 am - 11:30 am and if children are happy to they can stay with play staff at Busy Bee's stay and play.

Parents can sign up to attend the group here.

Today is Maundy Thursday when we remember Jesus' Last Supper with his friends and followers, and how he washed the feet of his disciples.

Today we are reminded that "though Jesus was in the form of God, he did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”

Our service today will be at 7pm at St Mark's Downham, Baudwin Road, SE6 1RN and all are welcome.

This morning I will be joining clergy across the Diocese at Southwark Cathedral to renew my ordination vows - please do pray for all clergy as we do so

Hey everyone, this Sunday (29th March) is Palm Sunday and marks the beginning of Holy Week - as we remember Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, his Last Supper, betrayal, arrest, death, and resurrection.

We'd love to see you at our Holy Week services (details attached).
