We are a friendly, down to earth, spiritually focused, music loving, LGBTQIA+ affirming, justice seeking, diverse group of Unitarians who gather weekly in vibrant south London. Lewisham Unity is a Unitarian community that offers opportunities to deepen your spirituality, to work for a better world and to celebrate the goodness of life. We were among the first churches in the UK registered for same
-sex weddings. Unitarians craft ceremonies that reflect people's unique individual beliefs, wishes and life experiences and Rev Claire MacDonald, our minister, conducts rites of passage for the thresholds of our lives -- including weddings and civil partnerships, baby namings and end of life ceremonies and funerals.We hold Sunday gatherings each week at 11 a.m. that draw on insights from world religions, the arts, science, and current events. We hold an informal, round table Café Connect gathering monthly and during the Covid sheltering all our events are on Zoom.
