AUGUST 25-27TH | RIVER CHURCH MONTHLY FAST

We fast - because we want to be utterly aligned to all His heavenly purposes, to know His way and to seek His face. We allow the sacrifice of the flesh by fasting food to declare together - YOU ARE THE BREAD OF LIFE, YOU ARE THE FOOD THAT WE SEEK. Even worldly sustenance cannot satisfy us.

We invite you to ask Holy Spirit how He wants you to pray and fast this week.

Do join the 7am prayer line in the mornings and/or join in the prayer meeting Thursday evening in the lower lounge.

He has so much more for us, may this August fast line us up in the Spirit to what He wants to do through us and in us as we head into the last quarter of the year.

There is a mounting sense of God wanting us to have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is doing in this nation and the nations. May we draw near whilst He still may be found.

We had a beautiful time last Sunday celebrating little Adara’s dedication last Sunday. It was beautiful to dedicate Brian and Favour’s precious daughter to the Lord with family and friends surrounding as she was consecrated to the Lord. Thank you for all that prayed and supported and please do continue to keep Adara, Brian and Favour in your prayers!

OUR BEACH DAY WAS SUCH A BLAST! 🏖️☀️ Thank you so much to everyone who made the day so incredible! In particular to Cheryl for organising, to all those that drove and especially Nigel who was on minibus duty and did an epic job! It was such a joy to spend sabbath together in the sunshine, fellowshipping, swimming and eating not to mention the beach games we played!! We can’t wait until next time and if you weren’t able to join us on those occasions we are excited about doing it all over again!

We had a beautiful time celebrating our dear Ruth’s 90th birthday yesterday. What a beautiful demonstration of the Lord’s faithfulness. It was a blessing to meet Ruth’s lovely family and to fellowship together. We come to the 7th month of prayer and fasting together as a church family and we would love to invite you to engage with prayer and fasting next week.

Seek the Lord continually, seek His daily transforming salvation and sanctification. Ask Him to reveal and cleanse every wayward way in you - that you may be cleansed and purified in His presence, called to the kingdom way of life.

May your preparation lead you ever deeper into closeness with Jesus and sensitivity to His Spirit. May you find the joy of sitting at His feet and knowing there is nothing else worth chasing in life. Pursuing the fullness of Christ and all that He is.

We dedicate today, tomorrow and Thursday to pray and to fast. To seek the needs of the house and to find ourselves more and more at the dependency of God.❤️‍🔥

Almost at the half way point of the year - wow! The Lord is doing amazing things amongst us.

This Sunday for our first Sunday in June we kick off with baptisms! Praise the Lord for what He is doing.

If you would like to get baptised please do speak to Pastor Dave.

We are so thankful for all the Lord did in our midst yesterday. What a beautiful time together.

And our hearts are so full to see several of our precious church family get baptised. Dying to their old nature and rising anew in the new nature of Christ! Please do pray for them as they step into all that the Lord has for them in Him!

Thank You Lord Jesus! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the bring and share and gave for our Giving Sunday!
