I always take and recommend a food-first approach 🥦 however I have also equally always believed in the power and purpose of supplements 💊

I bought these supplements through -Wellness (the company I consult for). When I first heard about W-Wellness, I couldn’t believe that no one had thought of the concept before: a supplement company that offers a curated selection of the best supplements on the market! No overwhelm, no low-quality options.

They also offer consultations so that consumers can get tailored recommendations specific to their goals, needs, and concerns. I can’t recommend the process highly enough 💕

Anyway, enough from me for now, just thought I’d update you on what I’m currently taking. Is there a supplement that you swear by? Let me know in the comments ###

Recipe for a delicious chickpea curry 🍛

Serves 4 (and perfect for freezing or for leftover lunch the next day!)

Ingredients:

A drizzle of olive oil
2 Large carrots, peeled & chopped
1 Red pepper, chopped
1 Baby marrow, chopped
2 Tomatoes, chopped
1 Potato, peeled & chopped
1 Garlic clove, chopped
1 Onion, peeled & chopped

Method: Sauté the ingredients in a pot until they are lightly cooked (start with the firmer veggies first - I sometimes microwave them in some water to start with, to speed up the process 🤭)

Then add:

1 Tablespoon medium curry powder
1 Teaspoon turmeric
1-2 Cans of coconut milk (use less if you want it to be thicker/stickier)
1 Can of chickpeas
3/4 Cup of green peas (fresh or frozen)
Salt & Pepper to taste

Cook everything thoroughly (taste test to ensure the veggies are softened to your liking)

Serve with rice, and make sure you have some delicious toppings: chopped cucumber and tomato, sliced banana, raisins, flaked almonds - and most importantly, chutney! (I can’t eat curry without it!)

Eat & enjoy ###

I always cringe slightly when I hear the phrase “eat the rainbow” - it’s pretty overused and maybe a bit cheesy ☺️ however it conveys and rests on a very good premise. One of my key recommendations is always to eat a variety of different coloured fruit and vegetables. Each colour group contains different vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial compounds, so “eating the rainbow” ensures a well-rounded intake of essentials.

How to Eat the Rainbow:

* Mix and Match: Aim to include a variety of colours in your meals, rather than sticking to the same few.

* Try New Things: Explore different fruits and vegetables within each colour group to expand your palate and nutrient intake.

* Snack Smart: Choose colourful fruits and vegetables for snacks, like baby carrots, apple slices, or berries.

* Get Creative: Add colourful vegetables to smoothies, salads, or stir-fries.

Examples of Colourful Foods:

* Red: Tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries, red peppers, watermelon.

* Orange: Carrots, sweet potatoes, oranges.

* Yellow: Yellow peppers, pineapple, bananas.

* Green: Spinach, kale, broccoli, green beans, kiwi fruit.

* Blue/Purple: Blueberries, eggplant, plums, grapes.

* White/Brown: Cauliflower, onions, garlic.

Let me know if you’ve tried a new fruit or veggie this week ###
