Target practice gone wrong? Actually, this is the perfect illustration! 🎯 We ALL miss the mark - that's what sin really is. It's not just rule-breaking, it's falling short of our fundamental purpose to reflect God's image to the world. Every missed arrow reminds us we need God's grace to hit the target of who we're meant to be.

Plot twist: What if the thing that humbles us is actually what unites us? Romans shows us that Gentiles, Israel, EVERYONE stands on equal ground before God. We're united in being image-bearers AND in our need for grace. Mind-blowing perspective shift! 🙌

We miss the mark, but Jesus hits it perfectly! While we fall short, Christ lived a sinless life and now intercedes for us in heaven. This is the good news - we don't wallow in failure, we thank God for forgiveness!

The Nicene Creed says "and his kingdom will have no end" quoting the words of the angel when she confronts Mary with the promise of a Son. (Luke 1:31-33) "Jesus ....his kingdom will have no end." Then Mary in her response that is called in the tradition the Magnificat sings of the Lord "He has brought down the mighty from their thrones but has lifted up the humble" In times of politcal chaos, war or persecution the church hopes in Jesus and his Kingdom that will outlast all other powers and dynasties and kingdoms.
