Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church

Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church Aspiring to be an inclusive, welcoming, & affirming church in the heart of London. 11am Sunday.

A fully inclusive and accessible church in the centre of London, that holds and represents a wide variety of people, opinions, and backgrounds. We are progressive in our theology, reverent in our style of worship, and active when it comes to social justice. Those who find their home here believe there is no one 'right' way, but rather we search together for a deeper understanding of Jesus and what it means for us to follow him.

'Nobody comes to Bloomsbury twice by accident.'

'You were carried here. You didn't pass a test. You are not on probation. The love came first, it has always come first, and everything else we do together is simply what it looks like to have been loved like that in public.' - Revd Dr Simon Woodman

"Endurance is not formed overnight. It is cultivated, slowly, through practices that root us more deeply in God and more deeply in one another. It is formed when we tell the story again and again, refusing to let it be forgotten. When we read scripture not as a task to be completed, but as a space in which we are encountered and reshaped. When we pray, even when the words feel thin. When we gather, even when we feel tired. When we commit ourselves to one another, not just when it is easy, but when it is costly." - Revd Dr Simon Woodman

"Reflecting on Luke 3:1–20 - John the Baptist called people to prepare for Christ through repentance and baptism. His message reminds us that true repentance bears fruit in transformed lives. Through Jesus Christ, we receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of new life. May we respond with humble hearts, faithful obedience, and lives that glorify God." - Revd Simon Perry
