🤝 This Week’s Mission Rosary: For a Listening, Welcoming, Inclusive World

As so much of our world grapples with conflict, division and polarisation, the risk of more and more people being excluded and left behind is very real. Led by the example of the Holy Father and Bishops’ Conferences around the world, we pray this week that we will build a world which hears all voices and values all people.

We pray for a world that listens and welcomes:
💛 Violence – for those caught in conflict, and a warm welcome for those who flee
💙 Isolation and rejection – for friendship and belonging for the lonely and forgotten
🤍 Injustice – for honest, open leaders and systems that serve the common good
❤️ Prejudice and bigotry – for understanding, respect and softened hearts
💚 Dignity and equity – for every person to be valued and no one left behind

As we all head off for half term break, Mission Together would like to say a huge 'thank you' to everyone who has prayed and fundraised with us this school year.

We love hearing how the children have been part of God's mission to share love with everyone, and every penny, pound and prayer you share with Mission Together help more children get the education, care and opportunities they need, and know that they are loved - by God and by us!

When floodwaters swallowed her village in southern Malawi, Ruth spent five days in a tree. She, her husband and their six children climbed up to escape drowning. They were rescued on the sixth day, taken to a camp and left, in her words, with ‘nothing to sustain us’.

We love hearing your stories about how you support World Mission Sunday - and showing that nobody is too young or too small to be a missionary! Students at St Bede's Primary in Rotherham prayed the World Mission Sunday prayer from last Thursday and throughout World Mission Sunday weekend.

Thank you St. Bede's Primary - Rotherham, Diocese of Hallam for getting involved with World Mission Sunday celebrations. You're helping children and families around the world and letting them know they are loved - by God and by all of us!

Mill Hill Missionary Fr Gerry Hastie concelebrated Mass at St George's Cathedral, Southwark during World Mission Sunday, and shared this message with the congregation. Fr Gerry (pictured here with Father Joe Owusu-Ansah, Sub Dean) spent 17 years as a missionary priest in East Africa and knows first-hand the difference your prayers and donations make to communities in need.

One of the beautiful things about World Mission Sunday is knowing our sisters and brothers in Christ are celebrating alongside us. Malawi has been in our prayers and our appeal this year - and our partners in Malawi have been busy spreading faith and joy during WMS2026. 🌍 This Week’s Mission Rosary: World Mission Sunday is just the beginning

On World Mission Sunday we joined our sisters and brothers across the globe to pray as one for world mission, just as we have done for 100 years. We thank God for this gift of togetherness. But World Mission Sunday is only the beginning. Now we renew our commitment to God’s mission; asking to be ‘sent out’ to bring the love of Jesus to those near and far, and to continue supporting those who leave home to bring God’s love to all people.

We pray for those:
💛 In Asia, for Christian communities, small in number but great in faith
💙 In Oceania, for Holy Mary’s spirit of haste and hospitality, reaching across distances
🤍 In Europe, for Pope Leo XIV and all who lead the Church
❤️ In the Americas, for the courage to move beyond our comfort zones
💚 In Africa, for the vitality and hope of our sisters and brothers in Christ
