'A couple of weeks ago the chaplaincy gave me an Everyday Faith Bible. I have three other Bibles in my cell that I haven’t even picked up since I have had the EFB! Why? Because it is by far the easiest Bible to read. It also gives me plenty of useful tips, like the six ways to see how the Bible applies to my everyday life.

'Then when I actually started to read verses, I couldn’t believe how much the head, heart, and hands bits helped me. In a way a lot of it is like a mini concordance. The life stories are a good little extra. Everyone I have read has touched me in one way or another.

'The Everyday Faith Bible is not just a Bible, it’s so much more – and its helped me no end in understanding his word better. Without a shadow of a doubt, it gets five stars. 10/10 is my rating.'

Today's testimony 📖

'The Bible, for me, isn’t just a holy, sacred Scripture, it’s something I turn to in times of need, for various reasons. I recently became a Christian, after being an avid atheist, even mocking the Lord and his followers... I completely denied God.

'I'm an ex-gang member with an extensive criminal record dating back 25 years... I have a history of mental health issues going back almost as far as my criminal record. But I've completely turned my back on all crime and felt my mental health issues dissipate, virtually overnight. It fills me with emotion. Even as I am writing this, I’m wiping my eyes.

'The Chaplain gave me the Bible, the Everyday Faith Bible, when I asked for one... The Bible is the only book I’ll need, ever, and I read it every day! There is not just one passage for various issues, there are multiple passages for every issue.

'The Bible can speak to anyone given the chance and it definitely speaks to me... The turnaround after becoming a man of faith has been nothing short of remarkable... Simply put, the Bible makes me want to be a better person and gives me a different level of confidence to do that.'
