✨ Throwback to confirmations in Manchester! ✨

Last week, we gathered in Manchester for a very special celebration of confirmation. ⛪️💛

It was a wonderful day filled with faith, joy, prayer, and fellowship as we welcomed new people more deeply into the life of the Church.

A beautiful reminder of the importance of community, faith, and walking together in Christ. 🙏

Congratulations once again to everyone who was confirmed — may God continue to guide, strengthen, and bless you on your journey of faith. ❤️

On Sunday 6 September, the Hungarian-speaking community gathered for its third quarterly Sunday service of the year with guest preacher the Revd Dr Lilla Molnár, Assistant Professor of Old Testament Theology at the Lutheran Theological University in Budapest (pictured with the congregation).

Preaching on Genesis 32:22–32—the story of Jacob wrestling with God for a blessing—Dr Molnár said: “I feel that this story, and Jacob’s wrestling in particular, illustrates our lives very well: the struggles, endeavours and longings of human life. We long for blessing, both individually and as a community. We struggle so that our lives may become whole, so that our work may bear fruit, so that things may be in order in our lives, and so that we may have everything we need, both physically and spiritually.”

Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of sharing this past year with Natalia, the ELCA Intern, at Trinity Lutheran Church Leicester-Nottingham and other LCiGB congregations.

Your presence among us has been a true blessing. Through your service, faith, compassion, and willingness to walk alongside our congregations, you have become a valued part of our church family.

As you return to the USA, we give thanks for the many lives you have touched during your time with us. As you begin this next chapter and return to the USA, we send you forth with our prayers, love, and heartfelt gratitude. May God continue to guide your path, strengthen your faith, and bless you wherever you are called to serve. We give thanks for the many lives you have touched during your time with us.
