This Sunday (6 September) as we gather for worship we’ll be praying for our children and young people in our annual Blessing of the Backpacks service. All are welcome to bring a book bag/backpack to be blessed and we will have plenty of backpack tags to take home for other children and young people in your life.

This Sunday we will celebrate Holy Communion in the Celtic style, which helps us focus on the glory of God’s creation, the beauty of the ordinary-ness of life and reminds us that God is present in it all. Our Bible readings will be Psalm 22:1-19 and Matthew 14:13-20.

Everyone is welcome to come along to our mid-week Holy Communion service at Rainham Parish Church on Wednesday 19 August at 10:30am. This shorter, simpler communion service lasts about 30 minutes.

We'd love to see you this Sunday (16 August) at 10:30am for our Satellites Stories service. Our youth and leaders about the amazing time we had at Satellites Youth Festival last week. We'll share stories about what we learned and the fun we had, sing loads of songs we sang at Satellites, pray and give thanks to God together.

This Sunday (9 August) we gather to worship at Wennington Parish Church at 10am for a summer celebration of morning worship. Our Bible readings will be Psalm 105:1-6 and Matthew 14:22-33.

Today our youth set off for Satellites Youth Festival (https://www.youthscape.co.uk/satellites/home) in Somerset. We're really excited for all the fun they will have, the friendships they will make and for them to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus. Please pray with us for their time away and for the adult team going with them.

Satellites is a summer event for young people, brought to you by the team at Youthscape. It’s a five-day gathering, designed to inspire teenagers to live with God at the centre of their lives for the other 360 days of the year.

Come along to Rainham Parish Church as we begin our Summer Services. We will be wrapping up our sermon series on The Lord’s Prayer as we sing, pray, reflect on God's word and celebrate Holy Communion together. Our Bible readings will be Psalm 91:1-19 and Matthew 6:9-13.
