Good afternoon, beloved people of God,
I come to you at this late hour with a heart full of encouragement and assurance, bearing a discourse I have aptly entitled “THE GOD OF THE WAITING ROOM.” May this profound message not only bless you but also precipitate a mighty turnaround in your life as you absorb and faithfully adhere to the instructions herein.
Have you ever found yourself questioning why it seems that everyone else's prayers have been answered except yours? Why it appears that every other bus has arrived, yet you remain standing at the stop? Have you felt as though God has distributed breakthroughs, promotions, healings, marriages, ministries, and miracles—yet overlooked your very number?
If you resonate with these sentiments, take heart, for you are in exalted company. Consider Abraham, who waited patiently, despite being advanced in age when God promised him a son. Each birthday seemed to prolong the promise indefinitely. Elizabeth endured years laden with disappointment, unanswered questions, and pervasive wonder as to why. Ruth, having lost everything, persevered through a season shrouded in uncertainty, unaware of God’s divine workings.
Yet here lies the profound truth they did not fully grasp: while they were waiting, God was actively working. Abraham believed he awaited a son; in reality, God was preparing a nation. Elizabeth thought she awaited a child; God was, in truth, nurturing a prophet. Ruth believed she merely sought survival; God was orchestrating a legacy that would culminate in the advent of Jesus Christ.
Do not overlook this pivotal point—the blessings God prepared far exceeded the blessings they anticipated.
Perhaps this is why your prayer remains unanswered—not because God is indifferent, neglectful, or punitive, but because He is meticulously preparing something beyond your present comprehension.
As it is written in Isaiah 40:31, "Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." Frequently, we implore the Lord, "Remove me from this waiting room," yet God gently replies, "Remain a little while longer; I am still perfecting My promises."
The waiting room serves as a crucible where faith is rigorously tested, character is exquisitely fashioned, dependence on God intensifies, prayers deepen, and ordinary individuals become extraordinary testimonies. Envision if Abraham had abandoned hope, Elizabeth ceased to believe, or Ruth retreated. Their most magnificent miracles awaited just beyond the horizon of their greatest delays—and it is possible that your miracle does as well.
What if your present frustration is not an end but evidence that God is still authoring your narrative? What if this waiting room is not a place of stagnation but a chamber of preparation for your imminent breakthrough?
Let us pray: Dear Father, when the waiting becomes arduous, remind me that You are never tardy. Strengthen my trust when I cannot discern Your presence. Grant me the faith to believe that whilst I wait, You are actively working. Fortify my heart and fix my gaze unwaveringly on Your promises, that a mighty turnaround may manifest in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Bear this truth always in mind—your waiting room has a door; God holds the key, and when He opens it, no one shall close it. Resist the temptation to forsake the waiting room before God calls your name.
Let us commit to waiting once more, praying once more, believing once more, pushing once more, trying once more. God is at work, holding you close in His heart and mind.
In steadfast faith,
The Selfless Seer-Prophet
