Teddington Parish

Teddington Parish As the Parish Church of Teddington, we extend a warm welcome to people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. Joe Moffatt.

We hope that in the sacred space of our historic church people will encounter a sense of the holy; and that in our worship and life together they will find ways of exploring their faith, giving praise to God and serving their neighbour. We are part of the Diocese of London in the Church of England. Our worship has the following characteristics:

-‘normal Church of England’ (neither high nor low bu

t valuing both word and sacrament)
-community-based (with a very inclusive, mixed-age congregation)
-family-friendly (with colourful processions to children’s groups)
-Eucharistic (i.e. focused on celebrating Holy Communion every week)
-musical (singing well-loved traditional hymns)
-thoughtful (with preaching that is open-minded both to scripture and the contemporary world and aims to make connections between the two)
-traditional (but with a friendly face, modern language and a contemporary feel)

Our Vicar is the Revd.

I interred some ashes near this grave today. As I wandered away I pondered the continued inequality of women, not least in the organisation that I work for.
