Confident Disciples

Confident Disciples In the great commission, Jesus calls us to make disciples of all nations by following his way, becoming like him and sharing faith with others.

Equipping church leaders and communities in confident discipleship, through: Communal practices for churches; discerning a shared Way of Life; and other courses and tools. The diocese of London is committed to learning the way of Jesus as both the ordained and lay people of God and loving him with our heads, hands and hearts. As we build on the progress made during the Ambassadors programme, we se

ek to encourage and equip one another to grow in confidence as disciples in the everyday places where we live and work. Confident Disciples aims to reflect the diversity of London in the resources offered for individuals, small groups, churches and the workplace. Visit our website for more information and to find a wide range of resources available for use in your church communities, small groups and in your personal walk with Jesus. https://www.london.anglican.org/our-2030-vision/confident-disciples/

This Lent, over 300 people across London and beyond stepped into “Treasures of Darkness”, a journey exploring faith in places we often avoid: pain, mystery, and uncertainty.

Through honest reflection, shared stories, and prayer, participants discovered something powerful:

• God is present within life’s struggles
• Darkness does not have to be feared
• Growth often comes when we do not have all the answers

From deep conversations in local churches to personal breakthroughs, this journey reminded many that faith is not just learned - it is lived, together.
