St Stephen Walbrook, City of London : Birthplace of the Samaritans. A place of discovery and celebration that welcomes all. The church is open from Monday to Friday 10.30am-3.30pm. Our regular services and events include:

Tuesdays at 1.00pm (except August): Chamber music platform concerts - chamber music platform concerts given by a variety of performers. Recitals are free. There will be a retiri

ng collection. This recital programme organised by the Walbrook Music Trust

Tuesdays from 6.00pm (except August) : Start:Stop. Stop for ten minutes and start to reflect on a passage from scripture by listening to our weekly audio recordings. Wednesdays at 9am: Morning Prayer according to the Book of Common Prayer by telephone conference call

Wednesdays at 6pm : (The Third Wednesday of Each Month) - Choral Evensong sung by our Choral Scholars

Thursdays at 12.15pm : (Term Time only) Choral Classics - 20 minutes of divine music from the Anglican Choral Repertoire based on a theme

Thursdays at 12.45pm: Choral Eucharist sung by our Choral Scholars and followed by a light lunch. Fridays at 12.30pm: Organ Recital - given by visiting organists with a varied programme of works often taking into account the season of the church in the programme. Recitals are free and you are welcome to bring your lunch. There will be a retiring collection

Every Wednesday at 12.45pm, during Term Time, this lunchtime recital comprises twenty-five minutes of imaginatively selected varied music performed by the Choral Scholars along with readings around a particular theme for each week. Elevate your day by stepping into the tranquil surroundings of St Stephen Walbrook and being uplifted by the heavenly resonance of their voices as they rise to the glorious echelons of the most magnificent dome.

Christian Gautschi, Rafz and Zurich (CH)
Christian Gautschi is a Swiss church musician and currently Specialist for Music & Community Development of the Reformed Church Zurich. He leads a Schola and performs internationally, with a repertoire from Gregorian chant to modern and crossover music, aiming to inspire joy in the organ and nurture young musicians. Biography
Pianist, Yang Hu has achieved notable success in numerous national and international competitions. Recent achievements include Second Prize in the 2024 Watford International Piano Competition.
Yang is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal College of Music, London, under the guidance of Professor Jianing Kong.
Having participated in many music festivals, Yang has received guidance from distinguished pianists such as Dmitri Alexeev, Piotr Paleczny, Olga Kern, Alexander Kobrin, and Douglas Humphreys.
Yang has performed at a variety of venues, including St James’s Church, Sussex Gardens in London, the Consulate Residence of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai, and the Legnica Cultural Centre in Poland.
