FRIDAY 12 June: GROWING IN FAITH
Intercultural Mission Conference (12–14 June at Yarnfield Park)
The theme of this year’s Intercultural Mission Conference is Breaking Ground, Bringing Hope. Pray for those involved in presenting the conference, especially our guest speakers, Majors Heidie and Richard Bradbury. Pray too for those involved in leading the workshops. Pray that everyone who needs to be there will be there, and that nothing will stop them from attending. We are also at a new venue, so pray that everyone will find Yarnfield Park Conference Centre easily, and that being there will be a good experience.
Major Marjory Parrott, Intercultural Mission Officer

THURSDAY 11 June: INTERNATIONAL SALVATION ARMY
India Eastern Territory
Lord, we pray today for the work of The Salvation Army in Eastern India and Nepal. We pray that you will provide for the needs of the officers, employees and volunteers who run corps and social centres, and we pray that you will multiply the available resources so that more of the people who come to them for help can receive it. We give thanks for the solid culture of prayer that underpins the Army’s work in India, and pray that you will strengthen that underpinning even more. We bless the territorial leadership team with time and space to seek you in prayer: Colonel Lalbulliana Tlau, Colonel Lalnunhlui Khawlhring and Lieut-Colonels Masilamani and Y. S. Kezial Stalin

WEDNESDAY 10 June: JUSTICE AND RECONCILIATION
Refugee Response – Asylum
Lord, we ask that you will make your presence known to those seeking sanctuary in the UK and Ireland. Many have escaped traumatic situations, experienced dangerous journeys, navigated traumatising bureaucratic processes, and suffered abuse from individuals and the media in our countries. We pray that they will encounter people of peace, that their situations will be changed, and that they will be filled with the hope you bring.

TUESDAY 9 June: SERVING AND CARING
‘Brengle Institute’ (9–17 June at William Booth College)
Lord, we thank you for the Brengle Institute and its calling to teach holiness and to deepen spiritual life. Renew and inspire officers and territorial envoys as they gather; strengthen their fellowship and attentiveness to your Spirit. Equip each participant to live out holiness practically, so their ministries and daily lives faithfully reflect your transforming grace.
Major Gordon Cotterill, Secretary for Spiritual Life Development

MONDAY 8 June: SHARING THE GOOD NEWS
South West Division – Community work
Pray with us for the many corps in the South West who are serving their local community: for the way they not only serve by helping people and families in practical ways but also by sharing the good news. We have many expressions of such service, and we want to encourage all who are serving in that way.
Major Paul Billard, Divisional Leader

SUNDAY 7 June: SABBATH PRAYER
God, Three in One
The period after Pentecost in the Church calendar is set aside for reflecting on the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Today we rejoice that this God we worship is not a lone deity but a community of love and giving: three who are one; three who give themselves constantly to one another; three who share a perfect bond of love.
Blessed Trinity, forgive us when we forget that you are community, not tyranny. Teach us the lessons of generous, self-emptying love. Form us, as communities of faith here on earth, to reflect the communion you share in Heaven.

SATURDAY 6 June: CARE FOR CREATION
Climate Innovations – Desalination
One of the biggest climate challenges the world faces is lack of drinking water, particularly in the most arid areas. Yet new technologies are being developed which use renewable energy and specially-manufactured membranes to remove the salt from seawater, so that it can be used and drunk safely. Pray for those who are pioneering this new technology, that they will find the most successful combination of components, and that they will have the finance to scale up the solution so that it can serve the millions who need it.

FRIDAY 5 June: GROWING IN FAITH
Riverbank Women’s Conference (5-7 June at Warwick University)
Lord God, as women of all ages gather at Riverbank to consider your peace in their minds and hearts this weekend, would you give them each an encounter with Jesus as they worship and engage in teaching. Help them explore your gift of their potential which will impact their ministry locally. Empower the speakers, sanctify the venue and enable a response to the work of your Holy Spirit.

THURSDAY 4 June: INTERNATIONAL SALVATION ARMY
Norway, Iceland and the Færoes Territory
‘Through generous and inclusive meeting places, we contribute to social engagement, belonging and faith in Norway, Iceland and The Færoes.’
We give thanks for the work of The Salvation Army in Norway, Iceland and the Færoes, celebrating every life which has been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ, whether through preaching, teaching, caring, protecting or meeting need. We pray that the presence of God will be evident wherever people access the services the Army offers. We pray for the territorial leadership team, Commissioners Knud and Lisbeth Welander and Colonels Paul and Jane Brakstad Waters.

WEDNESDAY 3 June: JUSTICE AND RECONCILIATION
Refugee Response – Lament
We lament over the ongoing conflicts in our world, often forgotten, that force people to leave their homes and find safety in another country. We hold before God Ukraine and Russia, Palestine and Israel, and Iran. We remember ongoing civil wars in Sudan, Myanmar and Syria. We recognise the violent insurgencies and conflicts within Somalia, gang violence in Haiti and Mexico, and conflict in the Congo region. And we lament over the growing impact of climate change that is increasingly making people’s homes uninhabitable, driving yet further displacement.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
