MORAL INJURY: THE CONCLUDING PART

In our last session, we learnt that moral injury is an invisible wound of the soul that can occur when our actions or experiences conflict with our deeply held beliefs and values. It can leave us carrying guilt, shame, regret and self-condemnation, sometimes without understanding why.

We were reminded that some behaviours we accept as simply “who we are” may actually be responses to unresolved wounds. Recognising and naming these wounds is an important first step towards healing.

Join us for the concluding part on Sunday, 6th September 2026, during our regular Sunday service.

Please invite your family, friends and anyone who may benefit from this important conversation. It promises to be another insightful, liberating and healing session.

HYPERTENSION & HEART HEALTH SUNDAY

As an extension of our Healthy Church Initiative (HCI) at King’s Chapel, we are delighted to invite you to a special and practical health session focused on Hypertension and Heart Health.

High blood pressure can often go unnoticed, yet it remains one of the major risk factors for heart disease. This session is designed to help us better understand our numbers, make healthier choices, and take practical steps towards protecting our hearts and overall wellbeing.

During the session, we will explore:

* Knowing your numbers – Healthy versus high blood pressure and how to measure it correctly
* Diet & activity – How food and physical activity affect blood pressure
* Blood pressure & heart health – Understanding the link between hypertension and heart disease
* Taking action – Simple, practical ways to support healthy blood pressure and heart health

We are also pleased to announce that free blood pressure monitors will be available for some church members, courtesy of the British Heart Foundation.

Our facilitators are:

Dear Friend,

I warmly invite you to join us at King’s Chapel for a special two-week Workshop series on the theme:

MORAL INJURY

When What Happened Conflicts With What You Believe

Our in-house speaker, Nike Adegbembo, will lead us through this important and often overlooked subject.

Sometimes our deepest struggles are not simply about what happened to us, but about how what happened conflicts with what we believe about ourselves, others, life, and even God. Moral injury can leave people wrestling with guilt, shame, anger, disappointment, unanswered questions and difficulties in their faith.

Over these two Sundays, we will explore what moral injury is and what can cause it; its impact on our emotions, faith and relationship with God; biblical examples of guilt, failure and restoration; pathways towards forgiveness, grace and healing; and how we can compassionately support those who may be struggling.

This will be a safe, biblical and trauma-informed conversation about guilt, shame, faith, grace and healing. Whether this subject speaks directly to something you have experienced or will simply help you better understand and support others, I believe these two sessions will be deeply worthwhile.

Dates: Sundays, 16th & 23rd August 2026
Time: 10:00am each day
Venue: The Elevation Point Building
3 Herringham Road, 2nd Floor
Charlton, London SE7 8NJ

Please feel free to invite a friend or someone you believe would benefit from these conversations.

You don’t want to miss this, and I look forward to welcoming you.

With every blessing,

Pastor Timothy Oladipo

I’m excited to let you know that Moses Bright will be speaking at King’s Chapel on Sunday, the 24th of August, on a powerful and practical topic:

“Faith to Keys: Turning Vision Into Ownership”*

This meeting will hone in on ”How Guidance, Strategy & Belief Can Help You Step Into Property Ownership”

We’ve been taught faith. We understand grace. We’ve walked in righteousness as believers.
Now it’s time to put that faith into action.

Moses recently walked with a couple in their 60s to successfully acquire their own property. That testimony alone silences the voice of doubt and limitation!

This is more than a talk—it’s a shift. Come and hear for yourself how godly guidance, strategic planning, and bold belief can help you move from vision to ownership.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Invite others too.

Blessings to you all!
