Yesterday was sorting out day. Members of the Church in Sierra Leone came to sort out the things TWITCH shipped to Sierra Leone for Charity. They would be dispersed to places in Freetown & Kono district for distribution. Will keep you posted.

Today was our Church Out Day. We took the Church to the community. It was a time to get to know our neighbours, eat with them, chat with them and tell them about the Christ we serve. It was fun time meeting our friendly neighbours and also challenging convincing those who are unsure about us. We praise God for it all. Amen.

We had a wonderful time in the Church today at our “Friends and Family Service” with the Peckham Police Ward Officers coming in full number to talk about Gun & Knife Crime with our Church and community. We were also graced with the presence of Councillor Evelyn Akoto (Cabinet Minister for Community Safety and Public Health) Labour Party. Oluwayemisi Jenkins MBE (Immigration Enforcement) and Grace Idowu of (David Idowu Foundation). The teachings and testimonies shared were life transforming and informative. Thanks to all our guests. We will be working with the police doing a seminar on Guns and Knives Crimes. Be there for this lecture especially with you boys and if you have any questions about this, it would be a good time to ask. The police and us the community must team up together to stop this.

We just finished our Safeguarding Training done by CCPAS. We invited over 15 Churches of African and Caribbean origin to participate in the training programme. We had a total of 47 pastors and Church leaders in attendance at the training. Just one of the ways we are working with local church communities for a safer community.

The Church on many occasions is the first call for help when people are in need. We must be fully prepared to identify abuse on the vulnerable but children and elderly. We must make sure we are not propagators of abuse ourselves and must get the appropriate authorities involved where there is abuse. TWITCH COMMUNITY
