The URC team are excited to be at the festival again this year with our yoURCafe and we can't wait to reveal our plans and get as many people involved as possible (whether it's volunteering with us or contributing to our 'call for crafts' pre-festival). You can find out more information, including how to volunteer with us here: https://urc.org.uk/greenbelt/

We also LOVE this year's theme: 'Hope in the Making'. This will thread its way through everything we do...

Another Greenbelt venue we are involved with is our URC lead Youth Engagement tent. If this is a team you would like to join, email [email protected] for more information.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from more than 50 years listening to artists and activists (and one another) it’s this: hope is a practice. It’s something we make together, in the fields. Hope has been in the making at Greenbelt for more than a half-century, and it’s our theme for this year’s festival. We choose to roll up our sleeves, open our hearts and be reminded that, together, we can be the change we want to see in the world. We’d love you to join us.

The second edition of our Church and Community Engagement (C&CE) newsletter went out last week and is packed full of resources and community stories, some of which focus on our Church Related Community Work projects.

One of our featured stories is: What Would You Ask Jesus?
(WWYAJ) is a new group from Wooler URC that has been meeting in the local pub once a month since June this year. The first session was very much a ‘trial run’ where we rocked up, said hello to the locals, introduced ourselves and started chatting.

You can read more about this by visiting our CRCW web page:
https://urc.org.uk/what-would-you-ask-jesus/ or by signing up to our C&CE newsletter (feel free to message me to find out more).
