"DAILY IN HIS PRESENCE"

DATE: THURSDAY MAY 21ST, 2026.

TOPIC: BEHOLD, I HAVE GIVEN YOU POWER.

BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 10: 17-20.

GOLDEN VERSE: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" - Luke 10:19.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: Nehemiah 1-3.

EXPOSITORY
Jesus sent 70 men to preach the gospel and they returned rejoicing because of their success.

Jesus gave them power and authority to overcome all the powers of Satan, the arch-enemy of true believers in Christ Jesus.

God has all power, He is Omnipotent and Jesus after His resurrection declared His power and authority.

Matt 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. NKJV

One of our basic privilege as the Children of the kingdom is the access to God's power. Power is activated in your lives by regeneration (born again) and the filling with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." NKJV

The power of the Holy Spirit separate the Christians from others because you have the ability to command result by the reason of that which God has invested in you (Power).

This power is to witness Jesus as the Christ to the end of the earth and make disciples of nations.

Power is God's investment in His children so as to enable them to do exploit (Daniel 11:32b, John 1:12).

We are in a world full of challenges, oppressions and spiritual wickedness but what gives the believers strength and assurance amidst all these things is that you have power through by the Holy Spirit.

Power is given by God to His children.

It's not what we source for from any other source. The Golden scripture stated it emphatically that "I give you power".

Do you need to enjoy the fullness of God in your adventure in this world, what you need is POWER.

The great news is that even principalities subject themselves to this power.

This is because Jesus Christ is the head of all principalities, and He has given us the power, so by this reason, we are head of all principalities (Col. 2:10).

The signs that follows those that believe according to Mark 16:17 signifies what power can do.

To this extent, the enemy may fashion weapon but the power we carry would not allow it to proper.

Power makes you see principalities as nothing because He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

Our Lord Jesus in His sojourn on earth fully demonstrated power by healing the sick, casting out demons, (Acts. 10:38).

You can walk and work in the same power of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive this power of the Holy Spirit to be your faithful witness today in Jesus Christ’s Name. Amen.

"DAILY IN HIS PRESENCE"

DATE: SATURDAY MAY 16TH, 2026.

TOPIC: GIVING PRIORITY TO GOD'S WORD.

TEXT: ACTS 20:32; 1 Peter 2:2.

GOLDEN VERSE: "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified" - Acts 20:32.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 32-34.

EXPOSITORY
Apostle Paul before leaving Ephesus, spoke to the elders handing them over to God, and God gracious Word that can make them what God wants them to be and in His word to have everything they would need as God's holy people.

In the same vein, apostle Peter stated the necessity of milk for a baby to grow up healthy.

Jesus Christ is the living word of God (Jn 1: 1-3).

In the kingdom (life) where Christ reigns, the word of God is milk, meat and strong meat - the food every believer must feed on for proper growth and spiritual stability (1Peter 2:2, Hebrews 5:12-14).

The word of God is God's building material for your life; this is the tool by which God builds and grow His Children to maturity.

A man who doesn't give premium to God's word would not be able to amount to anything tangible in Kingdom agenda, because he has neglected His building force.

Just imagine trying to build a house without blocks or cement; it means that the end product of your building would not be a perfect house but a structure that is faulty and ready to collapse.

This is the way our lives become when we fail to prioritize and involve God's word in our building, no wonder the word of God says "In all thy gettings, get wisdom" and wisdom can only be found in God's word (Prov. 4:7).

For all your endeavors in life, you need the wisdom of God, and truly you cannot build a solid prayer life without the word of God because God works within the confines of His word; that's why He said "I honour my Word more than my names" (Psalm 138:2).

Therefore, your prayers and prayer-life must be established in the word or God.

I challenge you today to be deliberate about your study of God's word and allow it to enlighten the eyes of your understanding, (Psalm 119:130) then shall you pray as the Lord wants to you, and your prayer life would be founded on the solid rock-unmovable and unshakable.

To have the word of God, you must intentionally, regularly and tirelessly seat down and study it, systematically and by the Holy Spirit help receive everything said in it as a child of God or His workman to get His approval when you stand before Him.

There is no short- cut to study of God's word.

2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. KJV

Ezra a scribe made up his mind to first study God's word for himself, then do it and lastly teach it.

You must follow the same pattern, study, do and teach, Exra 7: 10.

PRAYER: Father I receive Grace to study and understand your word in Jesus Christ Name. Amen

TOPIC: YOU ARE BORN OF GOD - PART 2.

BIBLE TEXT: 1 JOHN 5: 1- 9.

GOLDEN VERSE: "Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that begat love him also that is begotten of him" 1 John 5:1.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 29-31.

EXPOSITORY
Yesterday we considered that the man who has received the gift of Christ's work of salvation for mankind is now a child of God and must take responsibility for the work of his father on earth, which is in tandem with God's purpose for his life.

There is no child of God who truly receives the gift of salvation through Jesus that will not be passionate about the advancement and expansion of his Father's Kingdom on earth.

How can you claim to be a son of God if you're not passionate about Him and His work on earth?

In fact, a true child of God does not need to be forced into fellowship with His Father in a consistent Bible study, prayer life and Christian stewardship.

Because now that you claim to be saved, you must see the value of that which He did for you when he came to the earth to deliver you from the bo***ge of sin and Satan.

The following are some of the responsibilities of one who is truly born of God and has been transformed into sonship:

1. You must be passionate about personal fellowship with God your Father (Psalms 63:1-4, Psalm 8:1-3)

2. You must be passionate about preaching and advancing the gospel for Soul-winning and Kingdom expansion.

3. You must be committed to ensuring the accurate teaching of God's word, with testimonies that impacts lives.

4. You must be determined and committed to seeing God's people come into their inheritance and the accurate understanding of their sonship.

5. You must desire and sustain a life of excellence and purity that draw others to Christ Jesus.

These are the values that must be visible in every child of God that will project them as the light of the world and custodian of solution to every issues of life.

The values also enhance their victory in every challenges that confront them.

Do you have these values?

Jesus was zealous for His father's work, even at an early age He went about His father business. (Lk 2: 49; John 2: 17).

Do you have a zeal as a child of God?

PRAYER: Father, grant me Grace to be a responsible Child with Kingdom values to impact my world in Jesus Christ Name.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 25-28.

EXPOSITORY
Today's devotional is aimed at bringing you to the consciousness that anyone who believes, accepts and reckons with all that Christ did on the Cross for the worlds redemption and reconciliation back to God is now rebirth in Christ; acceptance of which has automatically made us children and heritage of God; i.e. we are now born of God, redeemed through the Atonement of Christ, and now made to enjoy all the benefits of the Saints, because you have been adopted to this family of God the day you said YES to Christ Jesus salvation work (Romans 8:15)

God is Spirit and to become a child of God you must be born of God (Jn 3: 3-5).

You become born of God when you believe and receive Jesus Christ the Son of God as your Lord and saviour.

John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

NKJV Your faith in God gives you victory over the world and its temptations and troubles because you have believed in the only One, Jesus who overcame Satan, sin and the world by His death and resurrection.

1 John 5:4-5 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? NKJV

You are now a child of God and now everything that is under your Father's footstool is also under yours too.

You now carries His Image, and nobody, power or principalities will be able to get at you or do you any harm (Isaiah 26:3; 1John 5:18b).

Because you are born of God, you do not sin for His seed is inside you, you love what God loves and hates what he hates.

1 John 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. NKJV

Because you are born of God, no one should see you and treat you as one living in the flesh, but as a new creation in Christ Jesus, a new born child of God. 2 Cor 5:16-17.

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NKJV

Everyone born of God always overcomes the world and all the challenges therein You're to overcome too!

TOPIC: UNDERSTANDING YOUR POSITION IN CHRIST - PART 2.

BIBLE TEXT: REVELATION 5: 10.

GOLDEN VERSE: "And has made us unto our God kings and priests" Revelation 5:10.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: 2 Chronicles 21-24.

EXPOSITORY
Yesterday, the Holy Spirit helped us to established that understanding is very pivotal in your walk with God and in your manifestation of dominion power on earth according to God's mandate and purpose for your life that you may fulfil the Great Commission bestowed on you (Genesis 1:26-29).

Today we shall be considering the truth in God's word that defines every believer as a "King" and "Priest" unto God that you may reign with Him Eternally.

God is the Ruler of the universe and Jesus Christ is the King of kings. (Rev 19: 16).

A king reigns is usually the period of his rule and mostly its for a life time.

You become a priest and king (the child of a king is a king and prince) because your sins have been washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Rev 1:5-6 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. NKJV.

One major understanding that the king has is that he is a royalty with authority and at such he doesn't think and envisage failure or impossibility the way other thinks or acts; neither will he bother because of lack or want, because he is a midst of abundance that characterizes his royalty.

He is constantly conscious and well understood his position and the throne upon which he sits.

Nobody can try to harass him or question his authority and this has nothing to do with his age because what makes him a king is not his age but the throne upon which he sits on.

Even though. God has made you a king, the manifestation of this kingship is a function of your faith and your consistent, conscious walk therein.

Until you become conscious of who you are, the position you have in Christ, the devil would continue to harass you, and circumstances would be there to frustrate you. (Psalm 82:6, Hosea 4:6)

You reign as king for life in this world, its your heritage from God, bestowed unto you through the righteousness of Jesus Christ obedience. Rom 5: 17.

For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) NKJV

This is why you should search out your identity in God's word and start meditating on it and believing it so that it becomes your reality.

You are a king!

PRAYER: Lord, I believe your word that says I am a king and I receive Grace to manifest this kingship in Jesus Christ Name. Amen.

"DAILY IN HIS PRESENCE"

TOPIC: UNWAVERING FAITH BRINGS GOD'S RESTORATION.

BIBLE TEXT: JEREMIAH 32: 1-15.

GOLDEN VERSE: "For this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel says: houses, fields and vineyards will again be bought in this land" - Jeremiah 32:15.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 27-29.

EXPOSITORY
The wicked king Zedekiah had put prophet Jeremiah into prison because he that Nebuchadnezzar would capture Judah and take the king had prophesied tha away to Babylon.

In the face of this, God instructed Jeremiah to buy a plot of land from his cousin, Hanamel for God had promised to return the people to their land even after 70 years of captivity and houses and field will be bought in the same land again.

God is a Restorer as we read in Joel 2:25 "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. NKJV

You are to put your trust in God's promises for He never fails even if it tarries.

Israel went into slavery in the land of Babylon for 70years.

God brought them back to their land and blessed them.

You too can trust and wait for God's time of restoration in faith.

Jeremiah was unjustly treated but he heard God's voice and acted on it in faith.

You a child of God, whatever your challenges, God will eventually bring out the best in you and for you.

God desires that when He gives any instruction, you act on them without questioning Him or His authority over us (Hebrews 11:1, Gal. 5:16). It is only then you can experience the promised future (Hebrews 11:6).

Unwavering means not to be shaken, marked by a firm determination or resolution.

Wants His children to have an unshakable faith on Him for He is faithful to keep His promises.

Abraham had unwavering faith in God's promise to bless him with a son, Isaac and to make him great.

Rom 4:20-21 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. NKJV How is your faith in God concerning the many prophecies you have received from God's servants?

Stay focused and keep believing for in due time you will receive all God's promises that are yes and amen.

God will surely come through for you.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, do not let me drown in the issues of life and give me the grace to to stay unshaken in my faith for You are faithful to do as You have said, in Jesus Christ Name. Amen.

TOPIC: WE ARE SAVED TO SAVE OTHERS

BIBLE TEXT: MATTHEW 25: 14 -25

GOLDEN VERSE: "His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So, you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest" - Matthew 25:26-27.

BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 24-26

EXPOSITORY
The notable characters in today's passage are the master and three servants entrusted with his wealth based on their abilities, while he embarked on a journey.

Two of the servants profitably utilized the wealth given to them to gain a double of what was given.

These servants were commended and rewarded by their Master for generating more wealth.

The last servant was however, despite knowing that his master loves to reap where he has not sown and gathering where he has not scattered, still foolishly and out of fear refused to invest with the wealth given to him by the Master.

His foolish decision displeased the Master, and he was punished for his unprofitability.

God gives gifts according to His will (1 Cor 12: 11) and individual ability (Mat 25: 15).

God demands faithfulness from His children.

The lesson from this parable is that the Master (Jesus Christ) will bless you abundantly whenever you diligently and profitably impact His Kingdom with both your innate capacity and the talent made given to you.

As a Christian, you have the first mandate of getting yourselves right with God, then help others know and serve God.

Any believer who is only after his/her own salvation is considered selfish and unprofitable.

Jesus taught that by following Him, He would make us to show others how to follow Him too (Matt 4:19) because we are "saved to serve and save others" for this brings profit and increase to the kingdom of God.

Your service to God will be acknowledged ven we put our specific purposes (which can be likened to the talents/wealth given to the servants by their master) to effective use.

God has called and empowered you (through the Holy Spirit) for a purpose to populate the kingdom of heaven and for as long as you are lacking in the fulfilment of our purposes, then God will not be pleased with you, and you will be seen as unprofitable servants.

The great commission command is to go and make disciples, and if you are nota disciple you cannot make disciples, then your life is unprofitable.

You are called to reproduce your kind, tell someone of Jesus salvation and teach and nurture someone for his spiritual growth (Mt 28: 19-20).

You have been given the power to launch out in the power of the Holy Spirit and impact the Kingdom of God profitably (Acts 1: 8).

Where is your boy or girl, man or woman?

Who are you following and who is following you?

Reproduce for the kingdom of God.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to be fruitful and profitable to Your kingdom as Your disciple, making other disciples. Amen
