For many generations we have known the privilege of being positioned in the very heart of London, one of the most exciting cities in the world. We have sought to teach, train and equip believers in the understanding and working out of their faith so that they can positively impact and change their world. Our vision is to build a loving community of Gospel-centred people, full of love for God, for

one another, and for the many new people who come here every week. We love people of all ages and backgrounds, and welcome children, young people, students, young professionals, families, the elderly and everything in between! Fancy a night at the movies? We are being treated to a free concert by the Band of the Irish Guards tonight at 7pm. Admission is free. Will you be able to spot some movie classics?

CHURCH FAMILY MEETING

A members' only meeting will be held at the Chapel on Sunday, 28th January. This family meeting will be an opportunity to hear news and updates. Please do your best to attend this important meeting.

This week's notices,

-This Sunday, we have an afternoon prayer meeting at 2pm. So join us then in the auditorium. We’ll have a short time of worship followed by some prayer led by Guy and Heather. We will have a great time together, so please come along if you can.

-Commission Festival is back for 2024! We loved our first time together at the Bath & West Showground in 2023, and we can’t wait to fellowship with you all this time, too.

If camping isn’t your thing, there are Airbnbs in the local area or various caravans available to hire. :D

If you haven’t booked your spot, get in there quick for the cheapest price. We had a good crowd last year, but it would be so great to see more faces joining us. To book your space or find out more, click this link.

Lunches return. We’ve got Andrea leading the team this Sunday. She’s going to be blessing us with beef pasta bake. Yum! Gluten-free and Vegetarian options are available.

FAMILY CHRISTMAS SERVICE -

We are thrilled to have Iwan sharing God's word this Sunday at our family Christmas service. There will be no kids work this Sunday and no lunch following the service.

Due to an external event in the building in the evening, we must ask everyone to vacate the building as soon as possible after the service. This is to allow the event crew to access the space and prepare. This means that we will also be unable to offer the lounge to families who usually stay to picnic with their kids.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

CHAPEL’S CHRISTMAS EVE BRING 'N SHARE - NEWS FROM RAY

Come join us for Chapel's Christmas Bring 'N Share -- Sunday, 24th December from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM; hot food served from 4:00 PM

Everyone is welcome! Just bring some food to share your Christmas JOY with others. Bring board games and activities. This will be a relaxed afternoon to spend with each other. No program or agenda. BUT, this is a Chapel-family event, and we'd love for everyone to pitch in to make any work lighter!

NOTES:
1. Food must be fully cooked and served cold or may be warmed in a warming cupboard. NO FOOD PREPARATION ON SITE.

2. Food may be put in the kitchen fridge in the morning. If possible, use disposable containers to minimise washing up.

3. Please label any allergens in your food.

4. Snacks and appetizers served from 2:00 PM. Hot foods served from 4:00 PM. The evening draws to a close at 6:00 PM.

If you would like to participate and bring a dish, please let Ray know.

We had a great time on Sunday. It was a joy to celebrate the birth of our King Jesus together. Thank you to all who helped out and made it all possible too: Hanna and the band, Biola and the kids team, Colm and the hosting team, Mike and the tech team, Grace, Hidy, Kate, Darina, Scott, David, Beth, Paul, Clare, Sandra, Patricia, Emma, Rachel, Andy, Guy, Ray and everyone else who made the event happen.

We're less than 2 weeks away from our first Christmas service. Take a look to see what we're up to.

If you'd like to come to our Christmas meal on 10th December, sign up on Sunday at the Christmas info point. The deadline to book your ticket is 26th November. We can't wait to see you there.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VICTORIA BUS STATION NOV - DEC 2023

Due to works, Victoria Bus Station will be closed from Monday 13 November to 23 December 2023.

‘ON THE TENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS…’

-We have 3 Christmas services to look forward to this December (see above).

-On Sunday, 10th December, at 3:30pm, join us to celebrate the birth of Jesus with a heartwarming Carol service. We’ll gather to hear the Christmas story told through Carols, bible readings and a message from Andy.

-After the service, at 5:00pm the Christmas celebration will continue in the main hall. Highlights include Christmas street-style food, hot chocolate, Santa's grotto, mulled wine, a chocolate fountain and some festive tunes.

-The main meal is now only available for ticket holders. You can book your ticket here via our QR code or sign up on Sunday at the Christmas info point.

-Tickets are free with the promo code: CHRISTMAS. If you would like to give to the Church to cover the cost of the event, then continue to the checkout without using the promo code.

If you don’t get a ticket in time, don’t worry. You will still get to enjoy the Christmas cheer with a cosy cup of mulled wine and a mince pie.

The deadline for meal tickets is Sunday, 26th November.

We're so excited for Christmas here at Chapel! Our first Christmas service is only 4 weeks away!

3rd December - Christmas service followed by carols on the steps.

10th December - Chapel's Christmas celebration carol service.

17th December - Christmas family service.

-We are shining God's Light into the Abbey Orchard Estate! So on Sunday, 29th October, come dressed up in fancy dress, and we will go out after lunch to the nearby estate to treat with sweets, games, and the truth of God's Love. This Gospel outreach is open to all!

-We're so excited about our Christmas Celebration happening on 10th December. This is an event for all ages. We have hours of Christmas cheer in store for each one of you!

From 1-3pm, why not step into the Christmas joy by coming along to our Wreath-making and Gingerbread house-making sessions? Click on the links to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited, so grab yourself a seat before they all go.

Our weekly notices:

Getting baptised is a fantastic thing to do and something you will never forget. If you’d like to speak to someone about getting baptised, please email [email protected]; we’d love to guide you through our process.

Many of us live our lives gearing up to do the things of life: job, car, house, kids, etc., but what does life look like when we remember that we are ambassadors of King Jesus?

This year, CST is about being ‘All In’ for Jesus. There’ll be great worship, talks, time to connect, encounter God and good food.

CST is for all young adults across Commission and will happen on Saturday, 18th November, in Wi******er. Dinner is included! You can book your place here: https://commission.churchsuite.com/events/8dunkn8b
