Today we begin the National Month of Prayer for Parent and Toddler Groups.

Did you know that over half the Corps in the United Kingdom and Ireland Territory have a Parent and Toddler Group, and that it is the second most attended programme regularly held within Corps after Sunday Worship services?

Research by Talking Toddlers, updated in 2025, also shows that 4 out of 5 families with children under 5 in the UK have some contact with a church and that this is very often through a Parent and Toddler Group, and today a representative group of leaders, including from The Salvation Army, will be going to the Houses of Parliament in recognition of the launch this special month.

This means that our prayers for this area of mission and ministry are vital so please join us throughout this month of June as we pray using the theme for 2026, Jesus The Good Shepherd.

"Good Shepherd,
Thank you for every family and person who comes to our parent-and-toddler groups. Thank you that each one is known and loved by you.

Please watch over them and care for them. Through the welcome, kindness and love they receive, help them to see something of your love too.

Thank you for everyone who gives their time to serve and support these groups. Bless them as they show care and faithfulness to others.

Draw us closer to you, Good Shepherd, and help us to know you more. Amen."

( Prayer written by Major Sharen Furlong, DMO, London Division)

A powerful example of Restored Beacon Churches in action at Ballymoney Salvation Army - creating safe spaces, building community and restoring hope for incredible women 🧡

If your corps would like to find out more about Restored Beacons and what’s it’s all about, join Restored’s upcoming webinar on Thursday 18th June. You can find out more and sign up here - https://restored.cademy.io/becoming-a-beacon-of-hope-restored-beacons .

On Thursday we celebrated the incredible women who took part in our Relate ni Respectful Relationships program. 💜🌿

Over the past four weeks, these ladies showed courage, honesty, kindness and strength. Together they created a beautiful “Strength Tree” filled with words of hope, recovery, boundaries, peace, self-worth and new beginnings.

Every leaf represented a voice, a story and a reminder that growth is still possible after difficult seasons.

Thank you to every participant for showing up, supporting one another and sharing so openly. You are seen. You are valued. You are stronger than you know. 🌸

“Every leaf of strength. Every voice matters.”

Lots of happy smiling faces at Salvation Army Romford Little Angels ‘Parent and Toddler Club’ Helping Hand session this week.

The Helping Hand Appeal this year is supporting international projects that focus on Women and Girls and the Jump In Session especially for families with young children links to the bible story about Esther.

The outcome at Romford was two wonderful Royal Banquets with delicious treats, bubble enhanced story telling and £66 raised for the appeal.

Thanks so much Little Angels!!

Can you help give people the freedom to flourish by hosting a Royal Banquet with your Parent and Toddler Group, midweek groups of all ages and your Sunday Congregation?

All the resources you need to find out about one of the Salvation Army’s projects in Jashore Bangladesh that supports women and girls and their children together with creative ways to raise some funds to ensure many more life changing projects can continue and grow can be found here.
