THERE IS A CALL TO THE BODY OF MESSIAH IN ISRAEL FOR THREE DAYS OF REPENTANCE, FASTING AND PRAYER FOR OUR NATION,

DATES; 25-27 FEBRUARY- SUNDAY, MONDAY, TUESDAY

Our nation is passing through, what could be, the most critical hour that we have faced in our history since our establishment as a modern State in 1948. We are confronted with war on multiple fronts, within and without the present borders of Israel.

If ever there was a time when we, the indigenous Body of Messiah in Israel, needed to take our place as a priesthood before the throne of God on behalf of our nation, it is now!

We as a Body have not yet gathered together to humble ourselves before heaven on behalf of our nation, beseeching God that His mercy, forgiveness, protection, and divine intervention be extended to us. There has been prayer in the individual congregations, but we have failed as a Body to be united as one Voice before heaven, in fasting and prayer as a priesthood on behalf of our people.

We have indeed failed as a Body to beseech the Lord in unity and unison for His mercy for Israel and to stand in the gap before Him in asking Him to forgive us of our many sins against Him and each other. But before we can effectively stand in confession and the humbling of our hearts before God for Israel, we must first begin with ourselves.

Asher explains that, not only was Jesus a Jew, He was a Zionist!

He believed in the Torah and the Prophets. In the Torah, the land of Canaan was promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their offspring. After the Babylonian exile, the prophets promised the restoration of the Jews to the land and the land to the Jews. These promises of Jewish ownership were given over and over again.

In the Gospels, Jesus prophesied that the people would again go into exile but ultimately be restored. He referred to the Temple as “My Father’s House”. He referred to Jerusalem as the capital city of the coming messianic kingdom.

And, the Bible says that He is coming again, not as a Lamb to be slaughtered, but as the Lion of the tribe of Judah leading an army of angels to destroy the nations that come to attack Jerusalem.

You can’t get much more Zionist than that!

In Deuteronomy 19:15 it says that everything must be established by two or three witnesses. As we celebrate the conception/birth of the Messiah we see how God carefully revealed His plan to make sure the events met those prophetic standards:

• Elizabeth and Mary;
• Joseph and Mary;
• Simeon and Anna;
• Shepherds and Wisemen;
• Matthew and Luke.

TODAY, we have the two witnesses of Israel and the Church to help us understand God’s continuing, unfolding purposes in the earth.

In Deuteronomy 19:15 it says that everything must be established by two or three witnesses. As we celebrate the conception/birth of the Messiah we see how Go...
