hopechurchuk.org Hope Church was founded as Orpington Town Church in 1990. Jesus has revolutionised our lives by his life, death and resurrection.

In 2008 we launched a second congregation on Bromley Common and changed our name to Hope Church. We now have three more sites in the local area, in West Wickham, Downham and Chislehurst. We are a church made up of all ages and different ethnicities, coming from all over the borough. We therefore, aim to pass on this blessing, by serving our communities, wherever we find ourselves. As a church, we

base all of what we do from the Bible. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to change lives, give gifts and empower us to live new lives for Jesus.

September Together starts this Sunday, and Lily is here to tell us what we need to know 👀

We’re meeting at St Luke’s at 10:30am, with prayer from 9:30am, tea & coffee from 10am and kids drop-off at 10:15am

📖 13th September - We’re starting our brand new series ‘Arrows In His Hands’

🌍 20th September - All Nations Sunday, with food together after the service

💛 27th September- Hope Offering begins, as we give together towards all that God is doing through Hope Church

What’s On In September at Hope…

New Teaching Series - Arrows In His Hands -  Starting Sunday 13th September

We’re also gathering all together with our 3 sites for ‘September Together’ on 13th, 20th & 27th at 10:30am, with prayer from 9:30am, and kids drop off at 10.15am at St Luke’s!

Young Adults ‘Heart of Worship Night’ (ages 18-30) - Wednesday 16th September, 7:30pm at St Luke’s. A night to worship Jesus, pray together and seek His face. Fresh smoothies will be there too

In Deep (ages 4–11) -
Friday 18th September, 4:15pm at St Luke’s

All Nations Sunday - Sunday 20th September, all together, 10:30am at St Luke’s

Hope Offering - Starting Sunday 27th September | 3 weeks
A chance for us to give together and invest in all that God is doing through Hope Church.

We had a great time at our annual BBQ, worshipping Jesus together, hearing God’s word and enjoying good food together afterwards! 🍔

Together Sunday, picnic & Hope Olympics !!!

What a day! 🙌🏁🏸

It was so good to gather with our three locations as one church family last Sunday, worshipping Jesus together, hearing God’s word and spending time with one another.

The fun definitely didn’t stop after the meeting! From the picnic in the park to the Hope Olympics, it was such a great afternoon filled with laughter, games, good food and plenty of fun competition! 🏃‍♂️

A huge thank you to everyone who came, served and helped make the day happen ❤️

☀️ What’s On In June at Hope ☀️

There’s so much happening across Hope this month, and we’d love for you to be part of it ❤️

This month we’re starting our Regions Beyond Global Offering (beginning Sunday 14th June) - an opportunity for us to invest together in church planting, leadership development, and the advance of the gospel across the nations. Please take some time to prayerfully consider if you could give.

We’re also beginning a brand new 5-week teaching series: Our Very Heart. Journeying through the book of Philemon, we’ll explore what lies at the centre of who we are as Hope Church. Through this powerful and personal letter, we’ll rediscover five foundational principles that shape our identity, relationships and mission. Together, we’ll look again at what God has called our hearts to be and how we can live that out as a church family.

FORWARD TOGETHER! What a special day together as a church family ❤️

From worship, prayer and commissioning, to food, a silent disco and celebrating all God has done through Tony & Tina over the last 20+ years - this was truly a landmark moment in the life of Hope.

We’re so grateful for all they have poured into this church family through their faith, sacrifice, courage, care and leadership. As we send them to Emmanuel Church in Durham, we do so with huge love and expectation for all God has ahead.

It was also such a joy to set apart Alex to lead the leadership team across our four congregations, as we step into this next season together - full of faith for all God wants to do in and through Hope Church!

We’re setting aside tomorrow to Friday (20th–22nd May) for three days of prayer and fasting as we seek God together 🙏

We’re making space to pray, listen, and press in together as a church family ❤️‍🔥
 We will be praying both morning and evening Wednesday - Friday this week:
☀️ Morning prayer on Zoom | 6–7am  🌙 Evening prayer at St Luke’s, Bromley Common | 7:30pm
