- The five daily prayers will be open for brothers only.

- The sisters section will be open for Jumu’ah on Fridays only and will remain closed for the regular five daily prayers while the remaining works are being completed.

SALATUL ISTISQAH / PRAYER FOR RAIN

A number of mosques in other areas (including nearby Finsbury Park Mosque) have in recent weeks held The Prayer for Rain (Salatul Istisqah) given drought conditions in many parts of the UK. If/when any local Hackney mosque / prayer space organises this inshallah we'll share details.

Details attached of Prayer for Rain taking place in the coming days in other neighbouring areas.

اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا

“O Allah, give us rain.
O Allah, give us rain.
O Allah, give us rain.”

SALAATUL KUSOOF / ECLIPSE PRAYER IN HACKNEY

As theres differring scholarly opinions on how the Eclipse Prayer should be performed please read below for awareness.

The opinion widely known as the Hanbali method is the procedure following at At Tarbiyah Mosque and As Sahabah Mosques (as well as some others). The other opinion widely known as the Hanafi method, and for us in Hackney is the most common method followed locally, is the prayer procedure at all other local Mosques and prayer spaces in Hackney.

Hanbali Method Link - https://islamqa.info/en/answers/6111/what-is-salat-al-kusuf-(solar-eclipse-prayer) -Kusuf

Hanafi method - No different to a normal 2 rakat/unit prayer.
