We collect items for New Malden Foodbank each week.

Items required for next week are: cereal, soup, baked beans, tinned tomatoes and small packets of pasta.

There will be a box to collect donations, please bring something if you are able.

There will not be a Food Bank Challege this month but we will resume on the 4th October which will also be our Harvest Service.

Join us again on Sunday evening as we meet in the lounge at 6:30pm.

We are going to begin studying the 24/7 prayer course. Session One is entitled, ‘Why pray?’ and will consist of a short video, some discussion questions and a time for us to pray.

The evening will last around an hour and no-one attending needs to feel under any pressure to say anything. Contact Phil Hutchinson for more information.

We look forward to seeing you again at 10:30am on Sunday morning, as we meet together to worship God.

It will be an ‘all age’ service, and Vanessa Thornborough will be helping us to explore together what it means to belong to the big family of God.

We have been sharing our services with New Malden Baptist Church again this summer.

This Sunday, 30th August, will be the final combined service for this summer. Speaker is Graham Miller (CEO London City Mission) on Ruth Chapter 1 and Psalm 30:4-5

The service will be held here at St John’s, and will be followed by a picnic in the park.

CAP Debt Centre Fundraiser

If you have any books (Christian or secular) you no longer want please bring them along to the joint services with NM Baptist church (only the services at St John's). There will be a table for them to be put on and then people who would like to read any of the books will be invited to take them for a small sum (suggestion £1 each, 6 for £5 or make an offer); the proceeds will go to the work of our Debt Centre.

30 Cakes in 30 Days!

As many of you know CAP have launched a 30 in 30 challenge to celebrate their 30th birthday. Our debt coach, Kate, is rising to the challenge by offering to bake 30 cakes in 30 days. The money raised through people buying these cakes will go to the National CAP HQ.
