Day 1, Thursday
We depart from London Luton on our flight to Tel Aviv. On arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 2, Friday
This morning we drive to the top of the Mount of Olives and walk down the Palm Sunday road to Dominus Flevit, the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane.
We then visit St Peter in Gallicantu. We end the day at the Garden Tomb with a communion service.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 3, Saturday
Today we enjoy a walking tour of the Old City. We visit the Temple Mount and walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We end the day with a walk in the Jewish quarter.

Day 4, Sunday
We drive to Ein Kerem birth place of John the Baptist and then to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherds Fields.

Day 5, Monday
Free day in Jerusalem.
OPTIONAL - Walk through Hezekiah’s tunnel. Bring a torch and clothing that you don’t mind getting wet! Alternatively, you might like to explore the excavations under the Wall.

Day 6,Tuesday
We drive to Masada, Herod’s hilltop fortress, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea, where there will be opportunity to bathe. We visit Qumran where a shepherd boy discovered the Scrolls then continue to Jericho for a visit. We drive along the Jordan Valley to Tiberias.

Day 7, Wednesday
We visit the Mount of Beatitudes which commemorates the Sermon on the Mount, Capernaum “the home town” of Jesus and Tabgha, the site where our Lord feed 5,000 with fives loaves and two fishes. Visit the baptismal site at Yardenit where there will be opportunity for those who wish, to be baptised. We end the day with a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee.

Day 8, Thursday
Today we drive to Caesarea Philippi (Banyas), the source of the River Jordan. We continue to Cana, Nazareth and the Nazareth Village.

Day 9, Friday
We leave Tiberias and drive to Jezreel and Mount Tabor for visits. Then continue to Mount Carmel, the scene of Elijah’s conflict with the prophets of Baal.
Dinner and overnight on the coast.

Day 10, Saturday
We visit the amphitheatre and aqueduct at Caesarea before we transfer to airport for return flight to London Luton.

Day 1 Monday
We leave London Luton on a direct morning flight to Tel Aviv, where we will be met on arrival for transfer to our hotel in Tiberias.

Day 2 Tuesday
This morning we visit the Jesus Boat at Nof Ginosar and then Sail across the Sea of Galilee on a replica of this boat, pausing during this for worship.
We visit Migdal; Mensah Christi; Capernaum (Jesus’ home town, with its ancient synagogue and Peter’s house); Bethsaida (Peter and Andrew’s home, with the recently excavated “Fishermen’s House”).
We finish the day celebrating communion on the hillside of the Mount of Beatitudes (the setting for the Sermon on the Mount). Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 3 Wednesday
Today we drive to Caesarea Philippi and then continue to Mount Tabor (a possible site of the Transfiguration) and Nazareth - where we see churches associated with Mary’s Well, and Jesus’ reputed childhood home (the Church of the Annunciation). We visit Nazareth Village (depicting life in the time of Jesus).

Day 4 Thursday
We leave Tiberias and drive along the Jordan Valley road to Qaser el-Yahud baptismal site. Continue to Jericho and Wadi Kelt (possibly the inspiration for the “Valley of the Shadow of Death”).
Visit St George’s Monastery.
We continue to our new hotel in Bethlehem for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Friday
This morning we drive to Herodium for a visit and continue to Bethlehem to see the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherds’ Fields. In the afternoon we visit the Tent of Nations (a Christian-owned farm surrounded by Israeli settlements).

Day 6 Saturday
We drive to Bethany, the site of Lazarus’ tomb and then to the top of the Mount of Olives. We walk down the Palm Sunday road to Dominus Flavit church and the Garden of Gethsemane. We enter the Old City to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, traditional site of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. There will be an optional visit to the Sound and Light Show at the Tower of David.
Our new hotel is close to the walls of the old city of Jerusalem.

Day 7 Sunday
In the morning, those who wish may share in (English-speaking) worship with local Christians in Jerusalem, either Christ Church (the oldest Anglican church in the Middle East, with a “Messianic” flavour) or East Jerusalem Baptist Church (an international church with Palestinian sympathies). We visit the Pool of Bethesda (where Jesus healed a crippled man) and the Garden Tomb (possible alternative location for Jesus’ death and resurrection) - Communion.

Day 8 Monday
We take a “day out” to visit the desert area south-east of Jerusalem.
We visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, possibly associated with John the Baptist; We ascend and descend Masada by cable car (another of Herod’s fortresses, and the famed site of Jewish resistance); and visit Ein Gedi where we have the opportunity to “float” in the Dead Sea.

Day 9 Tuesday
This morning we visit the Israel Museum to see the “Shrine of the Book” and then Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum), just outside Jerusalem.
We travel on to Tel Aviv and our flight home to London Luton.

Day 1
Flight to Tel Aviv
We depart from London Luton on our flight to Tel Aviv. On arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Jerusalem / Old City / Mount Zion
We visit the Davidson’s Centre for a presentation of Jerusalem in the time of Jesus, before a short tour of the Southern Wall Excavations. We continue to the Temple Mount and the Pool of Bethesda. We walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of Holy Sepulchre and then visit the Western Wall, where you can absorb the atmosphere of this unique place. In the afternoon we visit Mount Zion and David’s Tomb, St. Peter in Gallicantu, the location of Peter’s denial and the Upper Room. We end the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb.

Day 3
Bethlehem / Mount of Olives
This morning we drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd’s Fields. Then visit Beit Sehour. Before we drive to the top of the Mount of Olives and visit the Chapel of Ascension. We enjoy the spectacular view over the Old City of Jerusalem and visit the Church of Paternoster where we see the Lord’s prayer displayed in many languages. We continue to walk down the Palm Sunday Road to Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem and finally to the Garden of Gethsemane. We drive to Yad Yashem, the Holocaust Museum.

Day 4
Jerusalem / Genesis Land
This morning we visit the Pool of Siloam and for those who wish, opportunity to walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel (pay locally). Drive to the Israeli Museum for a visit. We see the Model of 2nd Temple and the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept. Visit Bethany and Genesis Land where we enjoy a camel ride.

Day 5
Masada / Dead Sea / Qumran
We drive to Masada, Herod’s hilltop fortress, which we ascend and descend by cable car. Then visit the Dead Sea where we will have opportunity to bathe in the warm waters and finally to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

Day 6
Galilee
This morning drive via Jericho to visit the ruins and then continue to Tiberias. Here we visit the Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount and Tabgha the site of the Loaves and Fishes. We continue to the Church of Primacy, Capernaum the hometown of Jesus. We enjoy a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee.

Day 7
Nazareth
We visit Cana of Galilee where Jesus turned the water into wine and Nazareth where we visit the Synagogue and Nazareth Village, for an extended visit, depicting life as in the times of Jesus. We return to Tiberias passing by Megiddo and Mount Tabor, (possible site of the Transfiguration).

Day 8
Caesarea Philippi
This morning we will visit Bethsaida and then drive north to Caesarea Philippi the Biblical site of Peter’s confession of Jesus’. While there, we will walk through the Banias Nature Reserve and see the spring, which is a major source of the Jordan River. Return to Tiberias and the remainder of the day is free.

Day 9
Flight to home
We leave Galilee for the airport visiting Caesarea Maratima and the amphitheatre and aqueduct on our way. Return flight to London Luton.

Biblical tour to the holy land 4th - 11th August 2019 £1410

Day 1 - London / Tel Aviv
We depart on our flight from London to Tel Aviv. Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Nazareth / Cana
We visit Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the Prophets of Baal and then to Nazareth and the Church of the Annunciation including the Grotto. The Chapel of St. Joseph, the Old Synagogue and the Church of St. Gabriel (Mary’s Well). Continue to Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water into wine at a wedding feast. Here we will visit the Franciscan Church of the Wedding Feast. Those who wish can renew their marriage vows before we return to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - The Sea of Galilee / Mt. Tabor
After breakfast we take a boat trip across the Sea of Galilee. The boat will stop on the lake if you wish to have a brief service. We will first visit Capernaum “ The Town of Jesus” where he carried out the major part of his Ministry and Messianic Work. Visit the excavations and St.Peter’s Church. We proceed to the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter. Visit Tabgha, the site where the Lord fed the 5,000 with five loaves and two fish, and the Mount of Beatitudes which commemorates our Lord’s Sermon on the Mount. In the afternoon we will visit Mount Tabor where the Lord was transfigured which we will ascend and descend by taxis, the Jordan River at Yardenit and the Place of Baptism.

Day 4 - Jericho / Jerusalem / Bethlehem / Shepherds’ Fields
Today we leave Galilee and visit the baptism site at Yardinet on the River Jordan where there will be the opportunity to be baptised before driving via the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem. Our first stop will be in Jericho. View the ancient city and take the chair lift to the Mount of Temptation. Then continue to Jerusalem, where on arrival we will drive to the top of the Mount of Olives to admire the spectacular views of the walled Old City. After an explanation of the view drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, venerated as the Birthplace of Jesus. Also visit the Church of St. Catherine, the Crusaders Cloister, Chapel of St. Jerome. We drive to the Shepherds’ Fields where we celebrate Communion. Stop at Bethany, the site of Lazarus’ Tomb.

Day 5 - Mt. of Olives / Mt. Zion
After breakfast we will drive to the Mount of Olives to visit the Pater Noster Church, where according to tradition, Jesus taught His Disciples the Lord’s Prayer. Continue to the chapel of Dominus Flevit, where the Lord wept over Jerusalem. Finally descend to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. In the afternoon visit Mount Zion and the Upper Room, also known as the Cenacle which commemorates the Last Supper; the Dormition Abbey, commemorating the falling asleep of Mary; and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu on the sight of the house of the High Priest Caiaphas and see the Dungeon where Jesus was imprisoned. We end the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb.

Day 6 - City of David / The Way of the Cross
This morning we visit the City of David and then we enter the Old City and start our tour at the Crusaders’ Church of St. Anne and the Pool of Bethesda. Continue to the Tower of Antonia where Jesus was tried and the Church of the Flagellation from where we will follow the Stations of the Cross ending inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre enshrining Calvary and the Holy Tomb. We visit the Western (Wailing) Wall before we return to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - Masada / Dead Sea / Qumran
Today we visit Masada, Herod’s hilltop fortress, which we ascend and descend by cable car, opportunity to float in the Dead Sea and finally visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

Day 8 - Tel Aviv / London
This morning we will visit the Crusaders’ Church of the Resurrection in Abu Gosh. It is one of the possible sites of Emmaus. In the afternoon the coach takes us to Tel Aviv airport for our return flight to London.

Day 1, Saturday
UK/Tel Aviv/Bethlehem
Depart London Luton on our flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival at Tel Aviv airport your guide and coach will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Bethlehem. Sandwiches, teas, coffee and cakes will be served at the hotel when we arrive.

Day 2, Sunday
Bethlehem/Shepherd’s Field
After breakfast, we walk to the Manger Square - the Church of the Nativity - to start our walking tour for today. We first visit The Grotto inside Nativity Church where Jesus was born and afterwards the Franciscan Church of the Nativity. We have lunch in the Manger Square (at own expense) and afterwards we visit the Shepherd’s fields, We will have a chance to do some shopping before we return to the hotel.

Day 3, Monday
Bethlehem/Jerusalem
Early departure to the Old City of Jerusalem. Proceed to the Pool of Bethesda and St Anne’s Church. We continue by visiting the site of Pilate’s Court, and the Church of the Flagellation, followed by the Stations of the Cross along Via Dolorosa. Here we follow the route Jesus walked on the first Good Friday, ending in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre - the holiest place on earth for all Christians. Walk to Mt Zion and visit the Upper Room (last supper), King David’s Tomb and the magnificent Dormition Abbey. Then to St Peter’s in Gallicantu and visit the dungeon where Jesus was imprisoned after His mock trial.

Day 4, Tuesday
Jerusalem/Ein Karem
Coach to the summit of the Mt of Olives, Jerusalem and visit the Church of Ascension, Pater Noster where Jesus taught His Prayer, Our Father. We then walk to Dominus Flevit (where Jesus wept over Jerusalem). Proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane where we spend a few minutes in prayer and reflection. Travel to Ein Karem where John the Baptist was born and visit the Church of John the Baptist.

Day 5, Wednesday
Jerusalem/Bethany/Jericho
We return to Jerusalem and visit the Western Wall which is part of the remaining wall around the temple that was destroyed in AD70. This is the holiest place for Jews. Continue to Bethany and visit Lazarus’s Church which contains his tomb, the house of Lazarus, Martha and Mary. We then continue to Jericho to view the Mt of Temptation and Zacchaeus’s Sycamore Tree.
Lunch in Qumran or Jericho (at own expense). Proceed to the Dead Sea and experience floating in the sea.

Day 6, Thursday
Nazareth/Cana
We leave Bethlehem early and drive along the Jordan Valley. We visit Yardenit baptismal site on the River Jordan. Continue to Samaria and Jacob’s Well before arriving in Nazareth visit the Church of the Annunciation. We then move on to visit Joseph’s workshop and then visit the Synagogue of Jesus and Mary’s Well. Proceed to Cana where Jesus performed his first miracles and it will be possible for married couples to renew their Marriage Vows at the Church of the Wedding.

Day 7, Friday
Tiberias/River Jordan/Galilee
We drive to the Mt of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount took place, St Peter’s Primacy and the church of the Feeding of the 5,000. We will have lunch here (at own expense) and then sail on the Sea of Galilee and afterwards to Capernaum - the town of Jesus - where we visit St Peter’s Church and we view the remains of the ancient Synagogue in which Jesus used to teach.

Day 8, Saturday
Mt Tabor/Haifa/Mt Carmel
We drive to the foot of Mt Tabor. Then travel up to the summit and the Church of Transfiguration, where we have a guided visit of this beautiful Church. Outside we enjoy the scenic view of the surrounding area. If times permits, proceed to Mt Carmel (Haifa) and visit the Cave of Prophet Elijah. Proceed to the airport for our flight back to London Luton.

Day 1 - Saturday
Flight from London Luton to Ben Gurion Airport. Meals are served in flight. On arrival you will be met by our Agent and transferred to your hotel in Bethlehem.

Day 2 - Sunday
In the morning a walking tour of the Old City. View the Western Wall, Temple Mount and the Tower of David and also visit the Herodium Museum set in the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon walk along the Via Dolorosa, see the Pool of Bethesda, St. Anne’s Chapel and the Chapel of the Flagellation. Pass along the Ecce Homo Arch, visit the Sister’s of Zion Chapel and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Day 3 - Monday
A Communion Service at the Garden Tomb following a guided tour of the Garden. Drive to the Mount of Olives, visiting the Church of Ascension, Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit and then walk down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Church of All Nations. Drive on to Mt. Zion visiting St. Peter in Gallicantu, the Dormition Abbey and the Room of the Last Supper. Drive Genesis Land for a Biblical meal and then to the town of Bethlehem and visit Church of the Nativity.

Day 4 - Tuesday
Drive to Masada to see the famous fortress where the Jewish Zealots held out against the Romans in AD 70. Ascend and descend by cable car. A brief conducted tour will be given on the summit. Afternoon relax at Ein Gedi and bathe in the warm waters of the Dead Sea. On the way back to Bethlehem you will see the excavations of the Monastery at Qumran and the cave where the shepherd boy found the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Day 5 - Wednesday
Leave Bethlehem for Bethany. See the House of Mary and Martha and the Tomb of Lazarus. Continue to Jericho along the Old Road to see the ‘valley of the shadow of death’ and St George’s Monastery. In Jericho you will visit the excavations, Elisha’s Spring and also see the Mount of Temptations. Drive along the Jordan Valley road visiting Mount Tabor, Nazareth Village, the Church of the Annunciation and Joseph’s Workshop. Then on to Cana of Galilee - the traditional site of Jesus’ first miracle of turning water into wine.

Day 6 – Thursday
Leave Nazareth and drive on to Mount Carmel, where Elijah challenged the Prophets of Baal. Spend half a day with the Mount Carmel Community Church including watching their service (10.00 – 11.30). We then visit Mount Tabor which we will acsend and descend by cable car before finally visiting Megiddo.

Day 7 - Friday
In the morning we enjoy a boat trip across the Sea of Galilee visiting Capernaum. Drive along the shores of Galilee visiting Tabgha, the traditional site of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes then to the Church of the Primacy and the Mt. of Beatitudes. At Nof Ginnosar you will have an opportunity to see the ‘Jesus Boat’. Lunch at Ein Gev and a visit to the Kibbutz. Day 8 - Saturday
Drive to Jaffa and go to the Church dedicated to Dorcas and Simon the tanner house. Then we make our way to Ben Gurion Airport for our return journey home to London Luton.

We hope to fellowship with a local Pentecostal Church in a midweek prayer meeting.

Understanding Israel Tour 2nd May-11th May

Thursday, May 2
We depart from London Heathrow on our flight to Ben Gurion airport, Tel Aviv. On arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Friday, May 3
We drive to the top of the Mount of Olives and visit Paternoster Church. Walk down the Mount of Olives to the Garden of Gethsemane. After lunch near the Jaffa Gate (not included) we drive to St Peter Gallicantu for a visit.

Saturday, May 4
Today we have a walking tour of the Old City visiting the Pool of Bethesda, St Anne’s church and walk along the Via Dolorosa. In the afternoon we visit the Garden Tomb for a communion service.

Sunday, May 5
We drive to Yad Vashem for a morning visit and after lunch in their cafeteria (own expense), the coach will bring us back to the Old City where there will be opportunity to walk on the city walls.
The remainder of the day is free.

Monday, May 6
This morning we visit Bethlehem Bible College and in the afternoon drive to the Shepherd’s Field and the Nativity Church.

Tuesday, May 7
We check out of our hotel and travel to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. We then visit En Gedi and there also will be a brief opportunity for those who wish to swim in the Dead Sea. We then continue to the lower baptismal site before travelling to Tiberias, check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday, May 8
Today we drive to Capernaum and then continue to Magdala for a visit.
The remainder of the day is free.

Thursday, May 9
We visit the Mount of Beatitudes and then walk down to Tabgha by the lakeside.
We have a St Peter’s fish lunch and enjoy a sunset boat trip at 6.00 pm

Friday, May 10
We drive to Banias, (Caesarea Philippi) the source of the River Jordan.
Opportunity for a ‘picnic’ lunch under the trees with falafel sandwiches from the Lebanese restaurant there (own expense).

Saturday, May 11
We depart from our hotel and travel to the airport via Mt Carmel and Haifa. We will have a brief stop at Caesarea and see the aqueduct before checking in at Ben Gurion airport for our return flight home.

Wednesday
Fly El Al from Luton arriving Tel Aviv. On arrival we transfer to Nazareth in time for evening meal and settling into our hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Thursday
Brief visit to Baptist School near hotel and then short walking tour of old Nazareth through the Sukh to the Church of the Annunciation. After lunch explore Nazareth Village, an imaginative recreation of life in the time of Jesus.
Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Friday
In the morning visit Megiddo and after lunch ascend Mt Tabor. Later, drive to Cana Baptist Church.
Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Saturday
Full day tour of Galilee including a boat trip on Galilee, visiting baptismal site on River Jordan and ruins of Capernaum. Drive round the lake for lunch at Ein Gev and then back to the Mount of Beatitudes ending our day on the lakeside at St Peter’s Primacy.
Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Sunday
Worship at Local Baptist Church, Nazareth (10.30 am) followed by lunch at Nazareth Evangelical College and then mid- afternoon drive to Mt Precipice to conclude our time in Nazareth.

Monday
Travel south to Jerusalem on the Jordan Valley road to Jericho. After lunch there drive up the desert road to Jerusalem via Wadi Qelt to arrive at the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the old city. Then short walk down the hill via Dominus Flevit to Gethsemane & Church of All Nations.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Tuesday
Full walking tour of the old city including Temple Mount, Pool of Bethesda, the Way of the Cross and Wailing Wall. After lunch visit Holy Sepulchre Church and finish at the Garden Tomb late afternoon for a Communion Service.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Wednesday
Short drive to Bethlehem & Shepherds’ Fields followed by lunch at Bethlehem Bible College. Then visit the Church of the Nativity in Manger Square. On the way home visit St Peter in Gallicantu (Caiaphas’ house) in Jerusalem.
Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Thursday
In the morning drive to ancient port of Joppa on Mediterranean coast stopping on way at Abu Ghosh (Emmaus site) Mid- afternoon take short trip to Tel Aviv for early evening flight home.
