Emmanuel Church, West Hampstead

Emmanuel Church, West Hampstead We rejoice in the great and wonderful diversity of God’s creation and we recognise and celebrate the beauty of his image in one another.

Welcome to the page of Emmanuel Church, West Hampstead, an inclusive catholic community in the Church of England and Anglican Communion committed to living out generous orthodoxy. Our Church has stood as a beacon of God’s light and love in its prominent position alongside West End Green since 1897 and we rejoice in our dedication as Emmanuel — ‘God with us’. At Emmanuel we have an inclusi

ve vision of God’s all-embracing love and everyone is warmly welcome at all our services and activities, irrespective of race, age, sexual orientation, physical ability or way of life. Emmanuel Church is a part of the North Camden Deanery of the Edmonton Episcopal Area of the Diocese of London. First and foremost we seek to be a community of prayer, rooted in the celebration of the Eucharist not only Sunday by Sunday, but throughout the week too. In so doing we seek to place our aspirations and all that we are in the broader perspective of God’s liberating and redeeming love for the world. We are members of the organisation ‘Inclusive Church'. We very much hope that at Emmanuel you will glimpse something of the awe and majesty of God’s eternal presence, but also experience the love, fun and friendship which binds us together as the pilgrim people of God as we seek his will for our lives.

Have you spent time in our front garden? We have beautiful fragrant roses thanks to our talented gardeners.. they have created a beautiful space for our community to relax. There is a bit of shade and inside the church it is peaceful and cool if you need a break from this heat.
