This new page is run by Quaker Peace & Social Witness of Quakers in Britain. It exists to support Quakers in their witness, and report to them on issues relating to international peacebuilding, economic and environmental justice, housing, sanctuary for newcomers to the UK, and peace activism. Here we share ways of taking action within Britain Yearly Meeting, both as a central organisation, and as

a network of interlinked Friends across Scotland, England and Wales.

About Quaker Peace & Social Witness

Quakers find that their experience of worship leads them to try and change the world for the better. Many act as individuals, with others in their local meetings, or through a wide range of charities and campaigning organisations. Quaker Peace & Social Witness (QPSW) is a hub for local and national Quaker action. We support Quaker witness in local communities around Britain and overseas, and represent Quakers at a national and international level to parliaments, governments, business and the general public. All of QPSW's work strives to reflect and express Quaker testimonies to peace, simplicity, equality, sustainability and integrity. We aim to respond adventurously to the leadings of the Spirit.

Dear friends,

the Quaker Faith in Action February Newsletter came out at the end of last week. Retrospective on February events and looking ahead to upcoming Quaker grassroots activism.

You can sign up here: https://www.quaker.org.uk/resources/newsletters/quaker-faith-in-action

Here's the intro to give you an idea:

Hi Friends and welcome to February's Faith in Action newsletter.

As we have received news from Friends and visited events this month, the theme of 'gathering' has emerged.

We have stories about a sit-in people's assembly at the Royal Courts of Justice; being together at one of our Faith in Action online drop-in sessions; and last month's Peace Walk. We also look ahead to our Creative Tactics for Peace gathering in May (book below!) and introduce you to Citizens UK, an organisation with which meetings around Britain are becoming involved.

With more besides, our hope again is to inspire ways to Act, Reflect, Learn and Celebrate.

We're continuing our trial of making the newsletter available in audio format – see the blue ‘Listen’ button above. Please let us know what you think of this.

With our friendship and solidarity,

Bridget, Martha, Dixe and Joe
