Week One: Our Call to Stewardship

This week marks the beginning of our Planned Giving Drive at Holy Apostles Pimlico: "Our Call to Stewardship".

Whether you are new to Pimlico or have been a parishioner for years, our overwhelming sense of welcome is a real hallmark of who we are. To keep our church a welcoming, warm, safe, and inclusive space for all, we are launching our first Planned Giving Drive since 2018.

Did You Know?
We do not receive funding from the government, the Vatican, or the Diocese.
In 2024, it cost the parish £257,311 to keep our church doors open.

Our Finance Committee has identified three essential areas for our future legacy:
1. Making Holy Apostles a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible space for all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and needs.
2. Securing the long-term care, resilience, and sustainability of our church for future generations.
3. Offering a commitment for Holy Apostles to be a hub for the whole community of Pimlico, fostering deeper community cohesion.

As Canon Chris Vipers notes, we are entering a new era and facing the future with confidence. We invite you to regularly reflect on your blessings and consider how you can share your time, talents, and prayer to support our parish.

Please take a leaflet away with you after Mass to learn more. To stay informed or to donate online, please visit: parish.rcdow.org.uk/pimlico/.

Today, our parish had the deep honor of welcoming Margaret and Barry Mizen. After the tragic loss of their 16-year-old son, Jimmy, in 2008, Margaret and Barry made an extraordinary choice: to reject anger and revenge, and instead dedicate their lives to building peace, hope, and safer communities for our young people.

Listening to them speak today was a profound reminder of the power of forgiveness and the strength of the human spirit. They challenged us not just to hope for peace, but to actively create it in our own homes, streets, and neighborhoods.

Thank you, Margaret and Barry, for sharing your story, your faith, and your beautiful son Jimmy’s legacy with us today. To learn more about their incredible work, visit

"For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." — Matthew 18:20

If you were unable to join us in person last night for the Mass of the Lord's Supper, or if you would simply like to revisit those powerful moments of reflection, the service is now available to watch on our YouTube channel.

As we enter the heart of the Sacred Triduum, we want everyone in our community to feel connected to the liturgy. Please note that our Good Friday and Easter Vigil services will also be recorded and uploaded for those praying with us from home.

Yesterday, we celebrated Palm Sunday, waving our branches and welcoming Christ into our hearts just as the crowds did in Jerusalem. It was a beautiful start to the most sacred week of our year.
But the journey doesn't end with the procession. Now, we enter into the quiet and the mystery of Holy Week. This is a time to reconnect—not just with our parish community, but with the depth of our own faith.
If you weren't able to join us yesterday, please know it’s never too late to step back into the fold. Our doors at The Church of the Holy Apostles are open all week as we move toward the Sacred Triduum.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week, the most sacred time of our year. As we follow the journey of Christ, we are reminded of His ultimate love for each of us.

Whether you join us every week or it’s been a long time since you’ve walked through our doors, please know that there is a place for you here at The Holy Apostles. This is a perfect week to reconnect, reflect, and find peace.

We invite you to join our parish family for any of our services listed in the schedule. We can’t wait to welcome you home.
