All Saints Kingston is registered as a cool space to escape the heat 10am-4pm.
Hot weather is a serious risk for some and many homes and parts of UK infrastructure simply aren't designed for extreme heat conditions.
We are open daily 10am-4pm. While we don't have air-conditioning, our large building is naturally cooler than the outside at this time of year. We welcome anyone to come and sit in our church in the Nave area. There is always free water on hand to all visitors in our cafe (seats in the cafe are for paying customers but there are plenty of seats in the Nave which we welcome you to use).
We have toilets, a children's play area, and children's play trail if you are wanting to keep younger children entertained. Our Seven Saxon King Embroidery Panels are also rather educational https://allsaintskingston.co.uk/the-seven-saxon-kings-embroidery-project
Please Keep in contact with older or vulnerable family and neighbours. Older people, people with long-term conditions and young children may need help keeping cool.
Beat the heat by drinking lots of water and wearing sun cream to protect against high UV rays. It’s best to stay out of direct sun between 11am and 3pm.
Hot weather can make asthma worse. Staying well in hot weather can mean fewer asthma attacks or flare-ups for your lung condition.
If you need medical help or advice, your local pharmacy can help with a range or minor health conditions. If you need urgent help please go to 111.nhs.uk and, in a life-threatening emergency, call 999.
