We’re excited to offer a 2-hour taster session to find out more about Difference: a course exploring following Jesus in a conflicted world.

Happening tomorrow on Wednesday 10th June, from 7pm-9pm; if you’re interested in finding out more about running the Difference Course in your youth group or local secondary school, then this is the session for you! Come along to hear from members of the Difference Team for a chance to get a taster of what the course looks like, how best to run it, and the opportunity to ask any and all questions you might have. For more information, including what the Difference Course is and to secure your free place, click the link in our bio or follow the link https://tinyurl.com/diffcourse

Sam (Children & Youth Team Leader) and Sarah (Children & Families advisor) visited Parliament this week for the launch of 1277 National Month of Prayer for toddler groups. The theme was ‘Jesus the Good Shepherd’, accompanied by 250 handmade sheep. Sarah & Sam also found some of our London churches (All Saints Ealing, St Paul’s Hainault, St Cuthbert’s North Wembley, St Mellitus Hanwell & Daniel’s Den Wembley)!

For all those who run toddler groups across the Diocese: THANK YOU for all you do 🐑

Amazing news! We’re having a Growing Younger Gathering this year on 7th November at St Mellitus!

We’re bringing together your usual Growing Younger days located in areas, to one gathering to connect, learn and worship as children, family and youth workers across the Diocese of London. It’ll be a full day of worship, practical seminars and a free lunch (👀) - so bring yourself and your team along! 🫵

The 6 seminar options you’ll get to choose to sit in on:
• Planning for and managing behaviour well
• Helping children explore the Christian faith, in your current context
• Building meaningful relationships in youth work
• Recruiting and looking after a volunteer team
• Making sessions neuro-inclusive for everyone
• Creating meaningful all-age church experiences

How should Christians respond to the growing influence of the "manosphere" on boys and young men?

This thoughtful article from Sam Donoghue, the Diocese of London's Head of Children and Youth Ministry Support, explores both the dangers of these online spaces and the deeper needs that often draw young people towards them.

Rather than responding with fear or condemnation, he encourages us to recognise that many boys who are influenced by these messages are struggling with loneliness, insecurity, hurt, or a lack of positive role models. The answer is not simply to challenge harmful ideas, but to offer something better: healthy relationships, good role models, and communities where young people can belong and flourish.

As churches, parents, youth leaders, and friends, may we be people who listen well, guide wisely, and model the kind of Christ-centred character that young men can look up to.
