There are five significant events in the life of our great forefather, the Prophet Adam (as), that took place on Friday:

‘Allah created Adam’ [Ibn Majah]
‘He was made to enter Paradise’ [Muslim]
‘His repentance (Tawbah) was accepted’ [Abu Dawud]
‘Allah sent down Adam to earth’ [Ibn Majah]
‘Allah caused Adam to die’ [Ibn Majah]

“Every righteous child who casts a look of mercy and affection upon his parents shall be granted, for every look of his, rewards equivalent to that of an accepted Hajj.”

Allah says: “O children of Adam, We have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of God’s signs, that they may take heed.” (Al-Araf 7:26)

“If a man takes bath on Friday, cleans himself as much as he can, oils his hair, applies perfume available in his house, sets forth for the mosque, does not separate two people (to make a seat for himself), performs as many Prayers as written [by Allah] for him, remains silent when the Imam speaks, his sins between that Friday and the following Friday will be forgiven.” (Al-Bukhari)
