*ONLY 6 PLACES LEFT*

🤫 An evening for people who dislike traditional "networking".
If the idea of walking into a room of strangers and mingling makes you want to stay at home, we understand.
Catholic Connections is specifically designed to take the pressure off initiating conversations. No awkward standing around with a drink wondering who to talk to. No repetitive questions about your job, studies, or postcode.
We’ve created a timed, rotational approach to group conversations of 3-4 people, covering different topics (including access to a quiet prayer space). The format does the hard work for you. Come along, relax, and let us handle the introductions over drinks and nibbles.

“Without the shepherd, the sheep perish.”

On Thursday 4 June, we were delighted to welcome Fr Conor McGrath, Vocations Director for the Diocese of Down and Connor, Ireland, to speak to our young adults.

Drawing on his pastoral experience, Fr Conor reflected on the essential role of the priesthood in the life of the Church and the joy of serving Christ and His people as a priest.

Thank you, Fr Conor, for a powerful, thought-provoking and inspiring evening.

What a wonderful evening at our Young Adult Mass on Sunday! 🙏

Thank you to Fr Phil Andrews for celebrating and preaching at our Mass, and to the St George's Cathedral Lay Clerks for providing the inspiring music.

In a city where many experience loneliness and isolation, it is a joy to see so many young Catholics coming together to encounter Christ, grow in faith and build lasting friendships.

You are always welcome to join us.

🛑 Because genuine friendship requires more than just talking about the weather.

Join St George’s Young Adults for Catholic Connections: Speed Friending on Thursday 18th June at Amigo Hall.

This isn't a business card-swapping networking event or speed-dating in disguise. It is a relaxed yet structured evening intended to take the pressure off making new connections and building friendships based on shared values.

Move through a circuit of topic-based stations in small groups, share perspectives on faith, life and everyday challenges, then wrap up with food, drink and open fellowship.
