Alpha at MLBC could be for you.

From Wednesday 16th September at 7:30pm, we’re gathering around the table each week for a FREE meal, followed by a short Alpha film and an open, relaxed conversation about faith and life.

You can say what you think, ask whatever you like, agree, disagree, or simply listen. No pressure. No judgement. No expectation that you believe anything before you walk through the door or when you walk out of it!

☕️ MONDAY MORNINGS ARE BACK AT PIT STOP! ☕️

We’re reopening tomorrow morning and we’d love you to pop in and say hello.

Whether you’re dropping in after the school run, catching up with friends, or just fancy a decent cuppa and a toasted teacake, Pit Stop is a place to come as you are, pull up a chair and stay for a while.

🛡️ WE’RE BACK AT MLBC THIS SUNDAY! 🎉

After our summer of worshipping together with our friends across the Furzedown Churches, this Sunday, 6th September at 10:30am we’re back home at MLBC!

And we’re kicking off the new term with an All Age Service led by Grace and Hannah, looking at the Shield of Faith from the Armour of God series.

What might a Roman shield have to teach us about following Jesus together?

👀 Have you invited anyone to Alpha yet?

Sometimes the hardest part of trying something new is simply walking through the door for the first time. Having someone say, “Why don’t you come with me?” can make all the difference.

Alpha starts soon at MLBC — a relaxed evening with a FREE meal, a short film and plenty of space to talk about life, faith and some of those big questions we don’t always get the chance to explore.

So, MLBC family, have a think… who could you invite? ❤️

A friend. A neighbour. Someone from work. Someone who’s curious about faith. Someone who hasn’t been near church for years. Someone who asks you questions you don’t quite know how to answer! 😄

You don’t need a clever sales pitch. A simple “I’m going to Alpha — fancy coming with me?” is enough.

🎲 BOARD GAMES NIGHT IS BACK! 🎲

After the summer break, Board Games Night returns to MLBC on Monday 7th September! 🙌

Whether you’re fiercely competitive, just in it for the snacks and conversation, or still trying to work out the rules halfway through the game… you’re very welcome! 😂

The kettle’s going on, the coffee machine is warming up and the teacakes are ready for toasting… as Pit Stop Cafe returns on Monday 7th September! 🎉

We’re open every Monday during term time, 8:45–11:45am at MLBC (via the blue doors on the Welham Road side of the building).

Come in after the school run, meet a friend, make some new ones, or simply find a warm space to sit with a cuppa. No need to book, no need to rush — just pop in.

❓ Got questions about life, faith, God… or perhaps you’re just wondering what all this Christianity stuff is actually about?

This September, Alpha is coming to MLBC, and we’d love you to join us.

Starting Wednesday 16th September at 7:30pm, we’ll be opening our doors each week for a FREE meal, good conversation and the chance to explore some of life’s big questions together.

You absolutely don’t need to be a Christian or to go to a church. You don’t need to know the Bible, have the right answers or pretend you haven’t got doubts. In fact, questions are rather the point!

Each evening we’ll eat together, watch a short Alpha film and then chat about it. There’s no pressure, no judgement and no question too big, too small or too awkward.

And because this is MLBC, you can expect a warm welcome, plenty of food and space to be yourself.

On Saturday our siblings at St Paul’s are hosting their annual back to school Children’s Fun Day whilst the celebrate their 100th anniversary. There will be joy, a bouncy castle, face painting, games and laughter all before we get stuck into a new school term. It’s from 1-4pm and Free to attend so we’ll see you there …

TODAY is our final Summer Sunday and we are worshipping at ST PAUL’S!

Little reminder there’s no service at MLBC today — instead we’re heading down the road to join with the other Furzedown Churches as we conclude our summer of worshipping together.
