PADDINGTON TALKS RESTARTS THIS THURSDAY 1pm

“I am not the religious type”. People often feel that they are not a religious ‘type’ of person, whether because they are not interested in religion or because they don’t feel good enough for to be part of a religious community. On Thursday we begin a new series looking at some of the events of Jesus’ life and we will see him meet two people who were definitely not the religious ‘type’. Join us as we see Jesus redefine what it means to have faith.

The talks will occur both online on Zoom and in person at Huckster London, 4 Kingdom Street, W2 6BD. When Christians fail. Acts 4:32-5:11 Nothing discredits the mission of the church more than hypocrisy amongst Christians. The atheist delights to find it and the believer despairs in the face of it. But as we read Luke’s account of the early church he does not airbrush over the first major incident of hypocrisy in the church, instead he chooses to brings it to light and offers us hope in the face of it. Join us this Wednesday at 1pm for a 1:05pm start to hear more.

The glory of the Lord - Mark 9:1-12

Where do we see God most clearly in our world today? Some would say look at creation - the stars, skies and planets. Others would say look at the way we interact with one another. In this one-off talk looking at the transfiguration of Jesus, Mark makes it clear that there is only one place we need to look to see God fully in all his glory. Join us this Wednesday to find out more
