Pure in Public, Pure in Private

As Christians, the life we live publicly should reflect the life we live privately. Our character on the pulpit, in church, at work, or before people should be the same character we display behind closed doors.

Man of God - You cannot be a woman-beater in private and appear righteous in public. Your actions will eventually bring their own reward.

Woman of God- You cannot be involved in immoral relationships in private and pretend to be holy in public. Your actions will eventually bring their own reward.

Sadly, some preachers and church leaders tell people, “Do as I say, not as I do.” This should never be the standard for a believer. While no one is perfect, God calls us to pursue holiness and integrity in every area of our lives.

This is not a message of condemnation or judgment; it is a call to self-examination and change. If you have a weakness or habit that continually hurts others, seek help, seek counsel, and most importantly, seek God with a sincere heart and a willingness to change.

The Bible tells us that God does not desire the death of a sinner but that they should repent and turn from their wicked ways. Therefore, repent today from every private act of wickedness and begin to live a life that is righteous both publicly and privately.

If cameras could reveal the private lives of some who appear spiritual in public, many people would be shocked by the difference.

God sees beyond appearances; He looks at the heart and knows every secret.

May we strive to be genuine followers of Christ—pure in public and pure in private.
