Today in our gathering, as we continue our series ‘This is my story’, Ellie focused us on the truth that each of us, is made for good, by God. Through sung worship, using some craft to remind us of what is good in our lives right now, as well as teaching, we were challenged to think about how goodness is part of all of our stories. It was also brilliant to hear from Chris and his Dad about the ‘Enabled Extravaganza’ - a week long residential, Salvation Army summer camp, for people with additional needs & disabilities, from all over the UK. Chris shared about some of the activities from the week & some of his own highlights too. Chris also shared that one of the special songs from that week long camp was the song ‘The Climb’, by Miley Cyrus, because of its powerful words & their resonance with the lived experience of many of the campers. Thanks for sharing Chris!

Today our gathering was led by Gill Bonner, as we continue in our Summer series- ‘This is my story’. Gill shared about how the Psalms have shaped her story. We engaged with psalms and creative prayer to understand what songs from the Bible shape our hearts.

Our gathering yesterday was full of celebration, and unity as all ages stayed in the same space throughout. In our summer series we are looking at the new theme- ‘This is my Story’ - learning from the stories of people in our community and how they relate to the wisdom of the Bible as well. Through sung worship, prayer, reading, conversation, children’s activities & teaching we started our summer series well! We were also thrilled to dedicate (christen) another child in our community & church, as her parents made promises to God & as we, as a church, promised to support her, and her family, as she grows. You can watch the teaching from our gathering via the link in our bio.
