In our daily lives, we encounter moments that provoke anger—whether from misunderstandings, frustrations, or conflicts. Proverbs 12:16 reminds us that a fool's anger is evident and uncontrollable, but wisdom teaches us to respond with restraint and understanding. This verse emphasizes the importance of self-control and thoughtful responses in the face of provocation. In a world that often encourages quick reactions and emotional outbursts, embracing wisdom allows us to pause, reflect, and choose our words and actions carefully. By cultivating a wise heart, we can transform anger into an opportunity for growth and reconciliation. When we approach situations with wisdom, we not only protect our own peace but also foster healthier relationships with those around us. As we navigate our interactions today, let us strive to embody the wisdom that tempers our anger, allowing us to respond with grace and understanding instead of rashness.

The progression of Ephesians can be viewed as:

1. God’s eternal purpose in Christ (chapters 1–3).
2. The creation and building up of the one Body (chapters 2–4).
3. The practical living that expresses this reality (chapters 4–6).

From this perspective, Ephesians presents the church as God’s masterpiece and the means through which Christ is expressed and God’s purpose is fulfilled.

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
