I still remember my childhood when the devil tried his hardest to terminate my life, but it never happened because God was on my side; without Him, I would not be alive today. I was born and raised in a Christian home, and I have always l
oved God with all my heart and committed to fulfilling my purpose and using my story to bless the lives of youth and young adults. While I was in secondary school and college, I was bullied by classmates because of the way I looked and talked. This caused me to have trauma, and I was Unable to make and keep friends with other people. I was always alone and tended to spend time in the library reading to keep myself company. Being bullied affected me negatively, and I lost confidence in myself until I could stand up for myself, and I felt free and had peace of mind. I have experienced many failures, discouragements, and disappointments in my life and education. I remember during my days in college when I was doing my functional skills in math and English, I kept failing. I cannot even remember how many times I did it before I could pass it. Wow, that day, I was so happy because I kept studying hard and believing in myself that one day, I was going to pass it, and I did. Another time I experienced failure, discouragement and disappointment when applying to university to study for my 1st degree. Everything looked like it would not happen because I was getting rejected everywhere, but I did not give up and kept believing because I knew that God was on my side. I have also suffered from depression and anxiety because I did not know my purpose and self-worth as a young girl and lady, and I allowed negative thinking and mindset to cloud my mind. I remember when I was lost and thinking there was no way. I was always in so much pain because I was holding on to too much baggage and burden that I could not let go of. I was holding on to things of the past weighing me because I was not ready to forgive myself and those, I was holding a grudge against. I overcame because I had people supporting and encouraging me to achieve my greatness and purpose. I had a mentor who always encouraged me and gave me words and tips, which has helped me in many ways. I by no means have it figured out. However, amid my journey, I have also realised the importance of turning into who I truly am and where my strength lies. I have also learnt to take the greatness I was blessed with to encourage and motivate others. I hope and dream that as we work alongside each other in this life, I can motivate and encourage you to live the life you are meant to live and fulfil your purpose in life. I hope to use my story and journey to encourage you and let you know that you can also have a testimony and a reason to smile if you do not give up and lose because you must unlock the greatness inside you.
