‘The followers of Christ must stand firm in faith. They must be united, and unafraid of opposition and suffering for their faith. Don’t let chains or your relationships rob us of our joy. For it would seem Paul and Nehemiah could both testify, “The Joy of the Lord is our strength”.’

‘Are we sharing the Gospel of God’s grace, and building a community for all and not just those like us? Are we sharing our lives together, joys, struggles and challenges? Are we watching over one another with love - working at being a united and faithful community?’

‘Methodism was raised up to call people back to a practical faith, not just outward religion, but holiness in action. It was John Wesley’s belief that “God raised up the people called Methodists … to reform the nation, particularly the Church, and to spread scriptural holiness over the land.”

Around 300 people gathered at Methodist Central Hall Westminster for the 2026 Healing Conference — "Abundant Life: A Healing Journey." Worship led by Elaine Simpson (founding member of The Kingdom Choir), keynote teaching from Dr Ben Pugh of Cliff College, and a day marked by joy that became, for many, the healing itself. One attendee summed it up: "I came in discouraged and weary. I'm going home refreshed, with new hope — a new person indeed." Thank you to everyone who travelled from near and far to be part of it. 🙏

Recordings of the talks will be published in due course.
