“Dear children! I am calling you to strong prayer. Modernism wants to enter into your thoughts and steal from you the joy of prayer and of meeting with Jesus.

That is why, my dear little children, renew prayer in your families, so that my motherly heart may be joyful as in the first days, when I had chosen you,

and day and night prayer resounded -- and Heaven was not silent but abundantly bestowed peace and blessing on this place of grace.

That is why mankind is heading to perdition. You, little children, are my hope.

Pray with me, that what I began in Fatima and here may be realised.

Be prayer and witness peace in your surroundings, and be people of peace.

The friars of Saint Francis of Assisi Novitiate and Friary joins the whole Universal Church in mourning the death of our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI. The friars will celebrate a Memorial Mass for the repose of the soul of our Supreme Pontiff on January 5, 2023, the day of his funeral in Vatican City.

Let us pray.
O God, faithful rewarder of souls,
grant that your departed servant Pope Benedict XVI,
whom you made successor of Peter
and shepherd of your Church,
may happily enjoy for ever in your presence in heaven
the mysteries of your grace and compassion,
which he faithfully ministered on earth.
Through our lord Jesus Christ, your son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.

Eternal rest, grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in the peace of the Risen Christ. Amen.

On Friday, December 30, 2022, our Vicar Provincial, Fr. Gary Johnson, OFM Conv. traveled to Liverpool, England to concelebrate the Mass and share in the celebration of the Solemn Vow Profession of Friar John Paul Banks, OFM Conv., Friar Peter George Flynn, OFM Conv. and Friar Terence Bateman, OFM Conv., at the hands of their Provincial Custos ~ Friar Maximilian Martin, OFM Conv., who also served as the celebrant for the Mass, at St. Anthony of Padua Church (Mossley Hill, Liverpool).
