Music Editorial Music Editorial resources The Salvation Army's mission through the provision of brass and choral sheet music.

Since it's inception in 1883, Music Editorial has sought to provide The Salvation Army with music that is both compatible with and practical to the movement's needs. Primarily, this music resources brass bands and choral groups and is published by Salvationist Publishing and Supplies Ltd with the sole aim to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

On the tenth day of Christmas Prep, Music Editorial has two excellent resources to share with you.

First, The Sounds of Christmas is a collection of 36 arrangements of popular Christmas carols and tunes. Scored for five players, it is available for brass players and also includes C and F parts, making it suitable for a variety of instrumental groups.

On the ninth day of Christmas Prep, Music Editorial reminds you of a valuable resource that was first released two years ago: Jazz Advent Vespers.

Developed by Majors Richard and Caroline Mingay, this resource provides an opportunity for people to gather, pause and reflect during the often busy and hectic Advent season. Designed as a complete worship experience, it includes everything you need to host an Advent Vespers gathering in your local setting.

The resource features six jazz arrangements by Richard Mingay, written with flexible instrumentation in mind. They work effectively with piano accompaniment alone or can be enhanced with the addition of drum kit, bass and other instrumentalists.

On the eighth day of Christmas Prep, Music Editorial brings you a new song for children's voices: 'For you and for me!'

The lyrics were compiled by Lauren Westwood, drawing on thoughts and short poems written by members of Bromley Temple Singing Company about what Christmas means to them. The result is a thoughtful and engaging song that reflects the wonder and significance of the Christmas story through the eyes and experiences of young people.

Published as part of our Piano Offertory Series, this beautiful arrangement of Terry Camsey's 'Christmas Lullaby' has been crafted by Kevin Larsson (USA Western Territory). Thoughtfully written for the pianist, it offers a reflective and expressive addition to Christmas worship and seasonal programmes.

On the second day of Christmas Prep, Music Editorial is highlighting one of the most comprehensive Christmas music resources available: The Christmas Collection.

This extensive publication is available in both Piano & Vocal and Brass/Winds editions. The Piano & Vocal edition contains 107 carols, while the Brass/Winds edition features 143 carols along with 10 Christmas arrangements.

The Brass/Winds edition can be purchased as complete Brass Band or Wind Band sets, or as individual instrumental books in both march-card and A4 formats.
