Today is my final Full day at St Edmund’s Parish Loughton. After 21 years I have a new assignment at our Diocesan Cathedral Parish in Brentwood.

I thank Almighty God for the many years here in Loughton; For the many graces and blessings I have shared & received.

I now ask for your prayers as I begin this new chapter in my priestly life.

Dear Friends in Jesus Christ,

It is with a sad and heavy heart, that after 21 years as Pastor of St Edmund of Canterbury Parish Loughton, that I celebrate my final Masses with my Parish Family this weekend. I have loved my long time here in the Parish, and I thank Almighty God for the many graces &
Blessings on our parish.

I ask your prayers for this next chapter in my Priestly life as I will become the new Dean of the Brentwood Cathedral Parish.
The Installation as Dean will take place on Friday 22nd September at 7.00pm. Bishop Alan will celebrate the Mass. You are warmly invited to attend if you’re available.

EASTER 2023

As we prepare for the Easter Vigil Mass at 8.00pm. I send you these Easter greetings.
We have journeyed with the Lord this week, through his Passion & Death, now we await with longing & expectation his Resurrection.
Jesus Christ, Son of God, Our Lord & Saviour has triumphed over Sun & Death. He can die no more, and his invitation is for us all to share in that New Life of Resurrection Faith.
You will be remembered at our Vigil Mass this Evening.

THE SACRED TRIDUUM BEGINS
The Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Will be celebrated at 8.00pm

The high point of the Church’s liturgical year is celebrated in the Sacred Triduum (the 3 Holy Days)
Tonight we remember the Lord with his Apostles, how, in an act of humility washed their feet, giving them the example of Service for their future Ministry.
We remember the First Eucharist, Jesus gives his friends, and you and I, the greatest gift of all, His Body & Blood.
Jesus retreats to the Garden of Gethsemene to pray, where he is arrested and put in gaol, awaiting trial on Good Friday.
Let us journey with the Lord in these hours ahead.
You will all have a special remembrance at all the Triduum Servicex.
