39 years ago a group of friends travelled from Austria to Medjugorje, a place in Old Yugoslavia, where Our Lady had been appearing to a group of teenagers.
After visiting this place, where Heaven feels a lot closer, this group of friends were prompted to start a prayer group. They started small, just a few of them, and very simple, gather together to pray the rosary and share some food.
Little did they know that what they started would turn into what the Loretto Community is like now, almost four decades later.

Last week, some of us went on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje - where everything started. It was such an amazing time, we all felt the peace, we all felt renewed in our own hearts and as a group of friends, we had a beautiful encounter with Mary and Jesus. We came back full of new energy to carry on with our mission in London, because as much as we all wanted to stay there we know that we are being called to serve the city of London.
So, will you join us on our next Worship Night? Come and share our love for Jesus. Let us share with you the peace we got from Our Lady Queen of Peace.

Meet the people behind the mission 💕

Loretto is a community of people who have said “yes” to Jesus and to building His Kingdom — and we’d love to introduce you to some of the team.

We’re also inviting you to become part of the mission by becoming a Loretto Mission Partner. Your regular support helps make it possible for us to continue creating spaces where people can encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and find a community where they belong.

Whether through prayer, encouragement or financial support, you can be part of what God is doing through Loretto. ❤️
