Reality Church London

Reality Church London A community following Jesus, seeking the renewal of London. We are a church plant in central London. We seek to love God, love each other, and love our city.

It is our desire to communicate the unchanging truth of the person and work of Jesus Christ in a way that everyone in our city and culture can comprehend. We gather on Sundays for public worship in Old Street and scatter throughout London in small communities committed to living the Christian life together as a family.

Smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of love!
Our church picnic was a beautiful time of food, fellowship, and family moments. There’s something special about gathering around the table with one another.

If you missed it—don’t worry! We do this every first Sunday of the month. Come through, bring a friend, and be part of the joy next time! 🙌🏾

Why not commit to reading the Bible in 2025!

Here are a couple of suggested plans (you can save this post) we’ve collated for you.

But regardless of how you do it — we pray that you would make Bible reading and reflection a habit and marker of your 2025.

“[The Scriptures] are the golden mines in which alone the abiding treasures of eternity are to be found, and therefore worthy of all the digging and labours we can bestow on them” ~ William Gurnall

We will be gathering to have a Member’s Vision Day at Stockwell Baptist Church.

This will be a day where the members of RCL can gather to share in some fellowship, food and prayer as we hear from Mike and the other leaders at RCL, who will seek to share the vision for RCL this next season in the life of the church.

In a world filled with division and discord, does the message of Christianity have anything to say about how we can live together as a diverse yet reconciled people?

Join us for an evening with Jeremy Treat, pastor of Reality Los Angeles, as we explore how the death of Jesus on the cross provides unique and rich resources to help Christians celebrate difference and maintain unity.

Jeremy Treat is not only a pastor of a local church, but also an accomplished scholar on the atonement. During this gathering we’ll not only hear a teaching from Jeremy, but have time for connecting with others, for worship, and for a question and answer time with Jeremy as we explore the implications of Jesus’ death for our city and world today.

For this event, we’ll be joining together with our friends at Christ Church Spitalfields, who will be hosting us in their beautiful space.

Friday, 7 July, 7-9pm at Christ Church Spitalfields (Commercial St, London E1 6LY).

6.40pm doors open. Refreshments Provided.

Romans 8 is the apex of New Testament theology. John Stott said this is ‘without doubt one of the best-known, best-loved chapters of the Bible’. The thread running through the entire chapter is the work of the Holy Spirit, specifically, how the Holy Spirit brings a sense of assurance and security to Christians, even and especially amid the sufferings and trials they experience.

This sermon series will look at Romans 8v14-39, in four sermons. We’re calling the series ‘How to Face Anything,’ because the theology Paul sets out in these verses gives Christians the resources they need to face anything that comes their way. Paul knows these Christians will face intense suffering, and he pastors them by giving them theology: themes like adoption and providence and the love of God.

Through the work of the Spirit, Christians don’t just ‘know’ theology as an abstract set of ideas, but they experience the reality of these truths in the day-to-day of living. It’s a failure to really believe and rest in our theology that gives rise to our restlessness and fear and insecurity in the first
place. The truths laid out in these verses, when understood and truly rested in, can give Christians the resources they need to face anything.
