We’ll be taking a break from our 4pm service over the coming months as we take time to reflect and look ahead.

We’re prayerfully considering what might be next as we continue to find ways of making church more accessible to all.

We recently started this wonderful new session for under 4s.
Weekly on Fridays, run by a professional music teacher, this is a real treat for little ones that love music and song and is a great introduction to going further with music.

Get involved with Holy Week at St Richard’s this week:

Monday night – Retelling Easter
A creative evening exploring the Easter story through art, film, music and conversation. A chance to slow down and step into the story in a different way.

Saturday (2–3.30pm) – Barefoot Easter Trail
An interactive, sensory Easter experience, especially great for families, but open to everyone.
Sunday

No 4pm gathering this Sunday – plenty of opportunities to join in at St Richard’s, or at St Thomas and St Luke’s Charlton.

There’s a lot going on in the parish this week, so wherever you can, step in and be part of it.

New for 2026, the Barefoot Easter Trail is an interactive, sensory exploration of the Easter story, designed especially with families in mind, but open to anyone who wants to experience it. As you move through different spaces, you’ll explore the story through your senses especially touch. A series of stations stepping on stones, in water, on broken sticks and more will help us engage with the story in a new way.

We will end with a some refreshments together - some of which will be made as part of the trail - with a short time to pray and reflect together on our experiences.

Accessible for all ages.

This Sunday (20/7) we have the last Sunday Gathering before a short break for August when we gather socially but not at St Richard’s. We’d love to welcome you along. If you haven’t been before our Sundays are a relaxed version of church. We have chairs and tables, things to do with our hands as well as things to engage our mind and spirit. Be ready to chat and discuss (no expertise or knowledge required other than being human), but also ready to sing together too. We can’t wait to meet you :)
