A new term, and a new blessing for your backpack🎒💛

Whether it’s a school backpack, a work briefcase, or a well-loved lunch bag, bring it with you this Sunday and we’ll say a prayer of blessing over it (and you!) at our 9.30am service.

A perfect little send-off for the year ahead🙏🏻

We're walking the Parish of Wimbledon to remember those we've lost to su***de and to support .

📍Meet 10am at St Mark's — join for a stretch or the whole way.
From St Mark's we walk on to St Mary's, St John the Baptist, and finally St Matthew's, pausing to pray at each church.

Whatever you're carrying, you're welcome to walk with us.💚

The Assumption of Mary — 15 August
Why do we mark this day?
The Church has long kept this ancient feast, giving thanks for Mary’s life and her unique place in the story of our salvation.
Mary was the first to say yes to God.
She carried Jesus.
She stood beside His Cross.✝️
And in her, the Church has always seen a sign of the hope we share — that God’s promises reach beyond this life🙌🏻. On Sunday we gave thanks for her faith, and for the hope she points us towards❤️

🌊 When the storm comes… keep your eyes on Jesus.

The disciples were battered by the waves,
the wind was against them, and they were afraid.

But Jesus came walking towards them.

“Take heart. It is I. Do not be afraid.”

Peter stepped out of the boat,
but when he focused on the wind instead of Jesus, he began to sink.

And when he cried, “Lord, save me!”
Jesus immediately reached out His hand.

Maybe you’re in a storm right now.☔️🌊
Maybe your faith feels small.
Keep your eyes on Jesus.
He sees you. He is with you.
And He will reach for you. 🤍😇🙏🏻

We're delighted to be hosting two fantastic screenings as part of this year's Raynes Park Free Film Festival!
