HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL! Thank you to everyone who joined in and contributed to our celebrations of Holy Week. We thank God for the gift of our newly Baptised and Confirmed adult parishioners. May God - who has begun this good work in them - now bring it to completion. Father Godfrey and Father Matthew pray that the joy of the risen Lord enter your homes and hearts. May we all experience His peace so as to share it with others πŸ™

***THANK YOU*** to all who gathered and brought visitors into our Church last night as we began our Parish Mission together. We are so grateful to Fr Samuel Burke OP for an inspiring reflection upon silence and inviting us to enter more deeply into friendship with Jesus in prayer. Our Mission continues this evening as we welcome Fr Nicholas Crowe OP who will speak on the subject of Sorrow at 7:30pm. There is a light supper served afterwards in the Hall. All are welcome! Do bring as many others as you can to benefit from the graces we are receiving. πŸ™

PARISH MISSION IN LENT: We are very excited to be welcoming Fr Samuel Burke OP to preach our Parish Mission. We will gather to be guided in prayerful reflection and to deepen our faith on the evenings of 5th, 6th and 7th March. After each reflection in the Church there will be a simple supper in the Hall. Let's make it our Lenten challenge to each bring one other person along to our Parish Mission! Save the dates and share them!πŸ™

CONGRATULATIONS DAME YOGI SUTTON! We welcomed Canon Victor Darlington - Episcopal Vicar of the South East London region - to our parish last Sunday as Celebrant at the 12pm Mass. During the Mass he invested our very own Yogi Sutton as a Papal Dame of St Gregory the Great. This was an honour awarded by Pope Leo XIV for Yogi's dedicated years of service in the field of racial justice across the UK for the Catholic Association for Racial Justice. Canon Victor spoke personally of Yogi's dedication and witness. It was also possible to recognise her service within our own parish and her commitment to the formation of adults and children in the faith. We are so grateful for Yogi's work in preaching the Gospel through her tireless work both nationally and locally. We keep her and her family in our prayers. Congratulations Dame Yogi! πŸ™

"TRULY MOVING": the words from one of the ten young adults from our parish who travelled with Father Matthew to the Faith Movement Winter Conference in Stonyhurst College, Lancashire (for those aged 16-30) last weekend. It was an opportunity for them to grow in their faith with daily Mass, prayer, the opportunity for confession, talks on the subject of Vocation as well as sports, social time and scottish dancing. We will be going to the Summer Conference at Ampleforth Abbey, Yorkshire, from 27th to 31st July. Let us continue to pray for all of our young people. Thank you to all parishioners who prayed for us and helped with subsidies! πŸ™
